Hey, does anyone else here have a hard time keeping both web cams working at the same time?

Also when we are talking we always here what sounds like crickets in the background. i just wondered if it our connection in messenger or if others have as much trouble staying connected.

We have to hangup and re-connect 8 or 10 times an hour?

I've found it varies greatly with the software that you use. Skype has great sound for Natasha and I but the video stops regularly. Yahoo has good video but the sound for us is poor. MSN has the best compromise (for us - your results may vary) of both video and sound quality, but there are regular (every few minutes) 'pops' in the sound stream.

We use skype mostly for voice chat only, the video on it isn't that great.

We use MSN for video constantly. It stays on all night.

We use yahoo for cams and Jeremy just calls using his phone - he goes through vonage and pays something like $25 a month or something for unlimited calls - the quality is good although sometimes there is an echo on his end and we have to re-call. There is no connection charge though and the quality is pretty good unless you are downloading a hefty file!!

maybe it depends on the internet connection, that happends all the time in the Philippines and especially when the weather is bad.

My wife talks to her friends and relatives through Yahoo Msgr, and it depends on their connection over there in the Philippines, but for the most part it works well and they can hear each other loud and clear. We don't pay any extra cost other than our cable internet connection.
