got this auto-response thier closed for christmas too :crying:

The Embassy will be closed for business from Tuesday, December 17, 2007

until Saturday, December 22, 2007 in observance of Eid El Adha

Holiday. We will re-open for normal business on Sunday, December 23.

You should expect to receive a response from our office within five

working days of receiving your e-mail.

Nov. 8, 2006 Recieved letter that I-129 was sent to Amman, Jordan

Dec 13, 2006 Recieved Package from Amman Embassy for K3 Intreview date Aug. 15,2007

Mar 05,2007 Embassy called interview scheduled for March 19th

Mar 19, 2007 Interview for K3- AP

May 20, 2007 Embassy called for Hasan to send in his passport!!!

May 24, 2007 Recieved Interview date of June 5th for CR1?

June 05, 2007 Interviewed and she said he was approved, kept passport and said will recieve in 4 days.

June 12, 2007 VISA IN HAND !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found a chart on the IRS website:

According to this chart, I won't have to file because my gross income doesn't reach the amount that requires me to file.

That's a relief. :)

Are you going by the limit on married filling separately? Otherwise you'd have to combine both your incomes to figure it out.

Actually, we've both only been working for less than 2 months, so our income doesn't even reach any of those amounts after the money conversion ! Also, I tried to file him on my taxes last year or e-file as married but filing separately, and it wouldn't let me do it because he doesn't have a SSN or a TIN (Tax Identification Number).

That was my experience anyway.

Has anybody else been able to file their husbands on their tax returns while they were separated & before their spouse ever made it to the states ?

Well since I file head of household now, I won't have to put him on until he's been here for the majority of a full calendar year. God willing that will be in 2008 but who the hell knows.

We went to Fezoune today a city with underground springs. People had lines of water bottles to fill. Life here is interesting thats for sure. There are police stops along some auto routes. There was one about 1/2 block from a contraband gas stop :o <omqr sqid the police dont mess with them because tey too want the cheap gas!!

Hey everyone, I'm still xmas shopping. I'm stumped on 2 gifts, my mom and his mom. I have nooo idea what to get them. :crying:

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

Would gift cards be a no-no? My mom is THE most difficult person to shop for so I gave up a few years ago and just give her a gift certificate to Talbots and she loves it! My dad is easy...every year he wants Aqua Velva and black socks. :lol::lol:

My dad was easy this year too, my mom doesnt care for gift cards. She says I'm pressuring her to make a purchase from the place I got the card from. Btw, NOTHING makes her happy. His mom is even harder, she is so hard to read. I have been shopping with her several times and cant tell what she likes. But I think I got it down to either a suit or a coat from macys. Its so frustrating.

I have some sort of stomach virus and about every thirty minutes for the past two days, I want to die.

I hope you feel better soon! When you can keep food down I would do the BRAT diet, i.e. Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast (or is it tea?). That usually stops it. (F)
