K-3 is a multi entry so has no problems leaving and entering again.

But CR-1 is a single entry because upon entry, the passport gets stamped with I-551 stamp, making passport a temp green-card alowing work and re-entry.

CR-1 is the better visa, it is a GREEN-CARD visa NO EAD and Adjustment of status head ache.

A few things to keep in mind, you need to have vaccinations done before visa interview, and CR-1 uses I-864 affidavit of support.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Wow...

1) I can't figure out how to change my K3 - CR1.

2) Would this mean that I could book our cruise (honeymoon) or should I wait.. just in case?

THANKS to everyone for all the help. I read way more than I post, and you guys all rock!

1) You mean on your profile? Click "My Controls" above, edit profile info and change immigration status.

2) I would wait until you have the visa in hand. K-3 or CR-1 can travel out of country after entry. K-3 is multi entry, CR-1 results in green-card upon entry (The I-551 stamp) which also can travel.
