Happy Christmas, Miss King is on tv right now.

I use to love Road to Avonlea when I was a child.

Who else watched it?

We even use to play it in public school out in the field. I was always Felicity...lol

Kidding- I always watched it. I also love Anne of Green Gables and I read the books as a kid.

LOL :lol: OMG You got me, for a second I was like "NO I'M NOT!" LOL

I love those shows. Anne is my favourite.

I still like the Anne of Green Gables movies. *secretly checks to make sure his manhood is still intact :lol:* I remember one stretch when I saw it on CBC, then PBS (2x), then another PBS station (3x). I didn't really watch Avonlea and I hated that last Anne of Green Gables movie though (the war one).

Another Anne fan here too. I caught bits and pieces of the Anne movie on PBS. I wasn't too fussy for it at all. Kinda ruined it all for me, the war and all even though I knew it was part of it all for that time period. I *did* have the complete set of Anne movies but when I left my ex, he wouldn't give them to me complete. So now I have to buy them again...this time on DVD though. :D

I loved the Anne books when I was growing up. Devoured like a kid on milk and cookies :D

The Anne movies were great too. Too bad that last one just downright sucked.

Never seen it.... but I was an adult when you were a child. Watched/read Anne of Green Gables, though, and went to Lucy Maud Montgomery's house when I was a child.

I went to primary school (same class) as Mag Ruffman. I'm a little older and don't remember being keen on watching this show. I rarely watch TV as well. I did manage to watch a FEW episodes though.

Mag Ruffman is my FAVORITE actor of the Avonlea Series..

The guy who played Matthew on Anne of Green Gables was my fav actor in the movies.. :) Well Megan Follows did okay too :P

Ok - I'm a geek/ nerd too then...no worries.

I read every Anne of Green Gables book (series of 8) by Lucy Maud Montgomery along with a zillion others she published! I even wrote an English Lit paper on her in 3rd yr at U of W ! Her book 'Rilla of Ingleside' was really the only account of what World War 1 was like for women at home in Canada during that period....but I digress.

Anyhoo.....what war movie?

I think they are talking about the tv movie from 2000. It was called Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story. It was kind of a let down.

I never watched the series through, however I did catch it from time to time, I really like Megan Follows in it.
