My husband and I received notification that his AP documents have been issued, nearly three weeks ago. They still havent arrived. Is this normal? In an emergency, he had to fly to Europe without them, and we are now awaiting their arrival so I can send them and he can return home to the states. Is there anything I can do to expedite the process? Is there a way to forward the letter we received to the customs in the airport where he is to arrive? It seems so ridiculous that he has confirmation that his AP documents have been issued but he still can not re-enter the states. How do I deal with the situation? Also, if he were to fly back without those documents, is there any way he can enter the states with all his other documents in hand (his letter of AP issue, his marriage certificate, etc.)? I appreciate any advice you have to offer.
