sorry, a little off topic SusieK... but, take a look at this one :angry: :angry: I know it's a bit old, but take a look at the language..

"U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is revising the filing instructions for the Petition for Alien Relative (Form I-130). Effective Dec. 3, 2007, all applicants filing stand-alone Form I-130s are encouraged to file their petitions with the Chicago Lockbox instead of a USCIS Service Center."

Petitions filed with the Chicago Lockbox will be routed to, and adjudicated at, the appropriate USCIS Service Center. This routing will be based on the petitioner's place of residence in the United States.

"While the changes are effective December 3, any Form I-130 filed with the Service Center will not be rejected; it will be forwarded to the designated Chicago Lockbox."

I'm planning on going today (made an appointment before their system went down).. it's down as we speak (server down or down for maintenance).. my appointment is 10AM PST , currently is 8:34AM.. so I'm a little nervous.. I'm also having my dad go with me too (to prove to them that this isn't some fake marriage).. :angry: hopefully will get some answers with all my evidence.. I hope this is enough evidence for them (150+ emails, 20+ months phone records and other things)... How is your application coming along, My Honey? I see that you got the interview date.. CONGRATS... YAY!!! I probably saw that before and said the same thing, but I'll do it again.. YAY!!! You are almost done.. January is coming soon!!! I would be happy with a January interview too.. aye lol, and the best part was that the Chicago lockbox addy was incorrect on USCIS webpage - now if you are going to waste time, I would think you could at least do things properly correct to show that yes i wasted time but it was correct , otherwise it seems not only are you wasting time, you have no clue what you are doing :dance::dance::dance:

bad news.. =( they told me that I was supposed to apply the I-129F and I-130 at the SAME TIME.. not the I-129F after the I-130... is that true?? I thought I was supposed to get the I-130 NOA1 and attach it to the I-129F form?? :crying: :crying: that is why my applications are on hold.. they said my applications are at the NBC Center.. (not NVC).. they said I should hear something very soon.. I'm not sure of that.. they also said the USCIS website doesn't get updated, so go to your local office to make sure of the latest updates.. they even said the people who answer the phones don't know of your latest updates.. so in fact, my case is NOT TRANSFERRED to local office, but to the NBC..

can anyone help me on this? My I-129F got transferred it seems to NBC.. is that almost good to go (approved)??

I'm confused. Because when we filed in April 2007 we had to file the I-130 first then wait until we received the NOA 1 from the I-130 to send the NOA1 along for the K-3. This is what we did. Current processing you can send both applications together but, before you had to wait for the I-130 NOA I . What are they talking about? What is the NBC? NBC is the news channel... :wacko: So, exactly how much longer? Where is the NBC? I wish I could tell you more about NBC but, I never heard of this...

they are basing the "new rules" on old applications.. :crying: :crying: where you can file together now, but can't do that before.. do you have an article about that you can find for me? there was also a supervisor talking to me... he said that now you are supposed to send in BOTH at the same time.. so just because they took long on my application.. now they are basing the new rules on me...

seems like the official date of change was 6/21/2007 (after both of my FILINGS).. yet they use this new "rule" against me now..

at the end, they just told me to wait.. they said probably April-May 2008 approval.. :crying: :crying: but they said my latest case update was wrong (on USCIS website), and that both of my apps are at NBC... so I'm doing some research on whether this is good for me or not..

I have a question on your cases... the I-129F starts with "MSC" while the I-130 starts with "VSC" or "CSC"?? does the I-129F ever change?.. MSC is the Missouri Service Center (previous name).. does the I-129F get transferred to VSC or CSC??
