Oh you wise ones :yes::yes:

I have been reading a lot of posts and almost all forums and there are mentions of packets #3 and #4. What are they and what exactly do they contain? For all that have completed the journey through the embassies, especially the Jamaican one, what exactly does especially packet #3 contain.

I think that packet #4 contains the appointment letter and instructions on getting your medical done, but I am drawing a blank on #3. Correct me if I am wrong. :help::help:

Just want to clear this up for myself.

Thanks in advance.

Claire

Claire,

The Packet 3 contains information on the medical and necessary documents that the beneficiary needs to bring to the interview (e.g. police certificate, birth certificate, etc). The Packet 4 is simply a confirmation letter. It states the date and time of the appointment. Be sure to post these types of questions on the Yardie (Part 5) Thread. The procedures are slightly different from country to country.

Hey Claire,

What Mrs. Scott said is correct, but since he is not doing a K1/K3 visa, these things will need to be sent to NVC, though it is good to take a copy with him to the interview. It will ask for the complete DS-230, part 1 & 2, his original birth certificate and the police certificate. You can find all the info here: Appointment NVC Processing

I am so excited for you; looks like things are moving along nicely for Mike :thumbs:

Thank you so much guys for the info. I kinda figured that was all it was, but when it is being referred to in posts, they make it sound so complex when it is mentioned. I think that was the letter that the operator told me was mailed last week (checklist for documents to submit to NVC i.e. packet #3). I hope I get it soon. Then again, Mike still has not applied for his police cert., so why rush. He has everything else so far. I will, at least know that he is one step closer to the final stage.

Thanks again. :thumbs::thumbs:

Much love (L)(L)

Claire

Yeah, it's worth it; for J$1000 more he gets it in 3 days as opposed to 21 days. The quicker you get it to NVC, the sooner you have Mike running into your arms at the airport :luv:(L):yes:
