We paid to have packet 3 delivered by courier to Digna's hometown just outside of San Salvador. They sent it by regular mail instead and it took a month.....I should back up....after it got down to the Embassy, they sat on it for a month and then it took another month to get there. When #3 arrived for a second time, the customer service company in Mexico wanted us to complete the requirements for a second time. Watch out for Packet 4, it was sent to me here in the States. I almost threw it out because the return address was from the SAL Fullfilment Org. I thought it was junk mail, but it came with a 1st class stamp and the return address was in Chantilly, VA. The customer service company in Mexico said that it would take another month to resend packet 4, so I had to scan the forms and email them to her and then I spent $60 to UPS the originals down to her. You are at the phase now where everything will look like a clusterf**k and it will be if you have to deal with that company in Mexico. They depend on a once a month update from the Embassy. If it does not come one month, they say call back the next. I spent about $150 to $200 for the services of an immigration attorney down there just to make sure all the paperwork was filled out correctly. After all the ups and downs and the beaurocratic nightmares, it is worth it to see her come off the airplane. That is when the magic begins.

Debbie,

My husband never received the Packet 3 (Jamaica). I suggest that you e-mail the Embassy to request that your fiance pick up the packet in person. Once your date has been scheduled, go ahead and make an appointment for your SO's medical. Here is a link of authorized doctors in El Salvador-

http://travel.state.gov/pdf/medical/SNS-ME...N-0001-0707.pdf

I hope that is information is useful. Unfortunately, most Embassies do not have downloads for Packet 3. That's too much like right! Good luck.

Thanks Mrs Scott

I laready have the medical list, I called one doctor they explained me what i need to do :)

So now you're saying that Gerry my fiance(Petitioner) should/can call the embassy and tel them i can pick up the packet 3 in person?

We are waiting a little longer to see if we receive it, myabe we will wait this week, if we dont get anything then He will call the embassy to find out whats going on.

So the embassy can be stupid and make us wait even longer huh?

we are trusting God and we know he will do a miracle!

Thanks for everything :)
