Do not know why nobody wants to stay at the Swagman Hotel. Rooms are average but the biggest advantage is that you have security for yourself and belongings.

Has anyone stayed at Shangri-la in Makati? My coworker says it is a good hotel, with good food too. But, it is 15 minute drive to Embassy.

We've stayed at Shangri-la in Makati before. It's very nice, very clean, very secure. Taxis are always available so the 15 - 20 minute drive to the embassy is not a problem as long as you plan for the extra time.

G Hotel also along Roxas Boulevard near Aristocrat Resto

Manila Hotel near Rizal Park

all boast of excellent amenities, food and service.

Roserick, Hyatt Regency has ceased operating since the latter part of 2006.

There's a good Spanish Restuarant in Cherry Blossoms hotel, by the name of Don Albas. their coccinillo and paellas are great! ...ooops! sorry, that was out of topic...
