I just realized that i have 5 days to submit my application to for removal of conditions my GC expires on the 3-20-08 Does it need to be sent on the start of the 90 days or after because i have until wed next week to do so. Should I pay someone to file it for me or should i take care of it myself

when we did my ASO i payed some lady to fill the forms and she charged like 600 dollars?

No need to worry. It needs to be sent within the 90 days prior to the expiration date, so you have the last part December, January, February and even March to submit it.

Would recommend getting in soon as you can :)

Ditto - you have a 90 day window, but early submission gets you in the waiting line.... good luck!

Don't worry, they recommend filing far enough in advance to give the service center time to review the petition and issue the extension. I filed Claudeth's right on the 90th day and then today did it again on the 69th day :P I made a slight mistake the first time

Ours was kicked back because I used the wrong form. I do believe they will also kick back the petition if you mail it in too early. Just don't wait until it is a week before the card expires :P I think everyone tries to do it at 90 days just to get the process going and give USCIS plenty of time to issue the extension letter. Good luck

Should I pay someone to file and put together my Packet or should I put it together my self?

Does anyone here get their packets put together by someone or do they just doit themselfs

I paid almost $800 just in imigration services fees for my AOS all I did was bring what ever they asked me for and I signed where I needed and mailed it. I really like the VJ PDF file where you can type all the info on there and print to where you just have to write a signature. toughts or comments?

First, don't use the VJ forms posted on VJ for your filing. You can use them as guides, but they may or may not be updated now. See Jasman's posts. There is a PDF fillable version on the USCIS site that is up to date.

We've done all our filings ourselves. You don't need an attorney, just an eye for detail, time, and patience.

I just put together our package together myself. It is very simple and the guides that are on here are really helpful. no need to spend extra money when you don't have to.
