Actually that raises an interesting point - should we continue to compile evidence of the relationship - ie phone records emails etc etc even after we have sent the paperwork in. Will the Consolate be looking proof of the relationship being ongoing during the processing period?

Like Sora we are at the start of the process, so also look at a 6 months :crying:

yeah, definitely...i think that's the most important part...because you are most likely having a long distance relationship right now...right?? unless you're together..in which case you'd use some type of lease or bank statement showing that you're bound by something other than marriage...with all these crazy business marriages..you need to prove your marraige with anything and everything possible..

::There’s a laugh in my eyes::

There’s a waltz in my walk

And it’s been such a long time

Since there was hope in my talk

If you never knew

What it is that’s new.. it’s you

‘Cause when your hands are in mine

You set a fire that everyone can see

And it’s burning away

Every bad memory

To tell you the truth

If it’s something new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

The world’s a different place

Where nothing’s too hard to say

And nothing’s too hard to do

Never too much to go through

To tell you the truth

Everything that’s new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

My life, my life

Ohh

So if I get to grow old (oh if I get to grow old)

With many years behind me (many years behind me)

There’s only one thing I want (aahh)

One thing I need beside me

For all that you are

For everything you do

For all that you’ve done

Just for showing me the truth

Nothing really unique. We did mail the packet when I was in Jordan and DHL put down that it was mailed by both of us..lol.

It would be interesting to hear some of the more unique kinds of evidence everyone has for having met in the last 2 years or of an ongoing relationship. Most people have the standard evidence, like boarding passes, passport stamps, emails, letters, ect, but what evidence did you use that is unqiue to you?

Me and Kathy visited Yellow Mountain together in August and our names appear on a travel contract for this trip, of course signed and dated. Supporting that, we had pictures together, including one picture taken of us together underneath the same tree that is pictured on the front of the tickets (which are also time stamped). None of this was done on purpose, and in fact occured before we were even engaged, but it's really nice and a bit unique to us. Of course, I sent the usual passport stamps and plane tickets too.

I know there are people who have had a baby together before beginning the K1 process. Would the birth certificate of a child born in the last 15 month be primary or secondary evidence for having met in person within the last 24 months? I've always wondered if anyone has used this as evidence and if it was accepted. hehe

I can't think of anything really "unique". I did send in a copy of a Russian greeting card she sent me and a photo of her posing with her engagement ring.
