Big question folks,

Thank God for James, hes a genious... Now heres what I needed some clarification on.

On the DS 3032, in the box where it says Place case barcode strip here before....

OPTION A::: do i write in the case # with a dark felt tip pen?

OPTION B::::generate the barcode with the program, cut it out with scissors, and glue it on to the box very neatly? and then mail it? (with beneficiarys signature, of course)

OPTION C:::generate the barcode with the program, cut it out with scissors, glue it on, then scan the "new" form so it looks like it came iwth a barcode on it :) then print it out and have it signed by the beneficiary??

help!

Yup, they do. They get more picky later on, though. If you're planning to use James' shortcuts try option B or C, just to get used to making your own barcodes. If you have Acrobat Professional (assuming DS-3032 is a pdf), you can also paste the barcode from the program. It needs some resizing but it looks great.

since our case#was issued on a monday 4/17, u think theyd generate everything by the following tuesday 4/25?

oh yea, if u use the automated system, will it tell you that ds3032/aos bill has been generated or do i have to talk to a human?

hey once i generate a barcode, can i just make 19 copies of it? and cut it out and glue it wherever necesary? or will each page need a different size?

i will need a barcode pasted onto:

1. the ds 3032 (does this need a cover letter/ hey i guess maybe not if i email them..)

** if you do email them, do u send the ds3032 as an attchmnt (for needof a signature) or do u just "email" them by writing the matter in the body of the email..?

2. on the bottom of the aff of supp fee bill thing

3. the cover letter for the ds 230

4. do you need to put it anywhere on the actual ds 230?

5. IS THIS ALL IM GOING TO NEED BEFORE I START WORKING ON THE I-864?

They always say that, probably to keep people from calling too often. Try again Tuesday morning and you'll probably here another message.

To answer your other questions:

You don't need 19 copies of the bar code, but 1. Every form requires a different size. Please make sure to read the instructions in James' shortcuts(under #5) carefully before continuing; you need to understand the order of documents sent to the NVC. Also take a look at the NVC-flowchart, which will give you an overview of the two different tracks at the NVC.

1. DS-3032 does not need a cover letter.

2. Yes, but different size.

3. Ditto.

4. No. But you need to write the case number on every page.

5. Get started on the I-864 after finishing the AOS-fee bill. It will take the most time of all forms. You can assemble the DS-230 package after sending in the IV-fee bill.

Good luck!

Just a query about this

If you "write" the number in the space for the barcode on the DS3032 and then use the barcodes for later paperwork, will this be OK. I ask this because my daughter has the DS3032 already filled in for us. I downloaded it here, filled it in and posted it to her and all she will need to do is put in the date and the case number when we get it  Just thinking ahead here.

What I was thinking of doing, instead of my daughter doing it, because I have more time, is doing all the barcoding here and scanning them and sending them to her via email would this work???

[The reason god put spaces in between your fingers was so another person's hands could fill it up.

Hi Val,

You can actually e-mail NVC direct once the ds-3032 is generated, and appoint you agent via email.Graham did this, and was notified in 2 days, that it was received.

And as for the rest of that paperwork, that is how we went about it. He dowloaded it, filled out the forms, scanned them, and sent them to me via e-mail.
