I agree that we should make a big fuss about this.. but I am afraid that we may need to sacrifice ourselves in the process, and that may not be good.. Kezzie, do you have any ideas what we can do in this situation? As you can see, I have been waiting since April.. =( Something has got to be done about this immigration system.. I guess that's how America started out in the first place (Americans didn't like the British controlling them)..

Let me see some good ideas (I already used the few ideas I have so far -- emailing various people in the government)..

Aye here, Anish we shall speak tonight but we can not put anyone in jeopardy here and lets just try to make an impact with some senators and reps. Speak tonight. Anyone that is willing to listen to us as a group, I have quite a few people on im with this issue, no need to post here names and emails and addys - we can keep it out of this area and deal efficently and more progressively in another manner,

I know you are very upset as so many of us are, but we must protect what is dearest to us....that is our loved ones and we can not jeopardize that action -

Cheers hun and I hear ya.

There is nothing that you or anyone else going through the immigration process at this time can do to improve the way things are right now, you can contact as many Congressman and Senators and write to the media but it is not going to speed up your case....

I dont see the point in stressing yourself out for nothing.... the immigration system will improve when the US government choose to make it better... As for "I guess that's how America started out in the first place (Americans didn't like the British controlling them" you may be better off doing what they had to do and immigrate to another country....

Hi Kezzie.. I know about that result =( but that is the worst-case scenario.. I even told my wife that I would quit my government job to be with her.. We may not have as a good life in China as we do here.. but that is ok.. at least we can start out family... would you have done this too? I see you have a son too, so were both of you two willing to move to your spouse's country as well?? I saw some people get divorce on Visajourney because they couldn't handle it.. I would rather move to her country and not let USCIS control who we love, who we live with, and who we have a family with... She was very touched at what I said to her.. This visa journey has really broken both our spirits.. and probably it will not end soon too.. I guess we don't have the luck as other people..

There are a multitude of political action groups formed for the purpose of lobbying their agenda with regards to immigration. VJ is not the best resource for such, and if you want to make waves and get your ideas heard, seek out the groups working with lobbyists who match your goals. Requesting members to post their personal information without giving any detail of what you want accomplished just isn't going to be motivational.

You may want to re-read my timeline..... I did move to my spouses country.... and yes my son will do too in about 8 years when a visa becomes available to him..... so sorry but your wait from April until now is just a small tick of a very much bigger clock....

I have to agree with LaL VJ is not the best place to ruffle your feathers and as I said before to ask people for their personal contact info is not a very good idea.... we do not know who you are or what you might or might not do with this info....

My husband would move to Scotland tomorrow if that was what we needed to do and my son is in Scotland alone and unable to join us here until a visa is available for him..... that will be in about 8 years or so.... try that wait time on for size...

I know how frustration this whole process can be but what you are talking about is not going to change anything for you.....

But then there would be no need to give out e-mail and/or phone number information to "do something about the situtation" because then there would be no immigration to US, only emigration from."
