I'm wondrinig why you still cannot drive and work since you've been here for a long time now?

I just have my green card and permit to work and soon I will apply for my DL so I can do more exploring town, but that is on hold for now because its too cold for me to go out ,brrrr!!! :crying:

Charles, in case people think you're being funny, I happen to think that is a great idea. Why do people need expensive toys when the best toy is something you already have!

I don't think she's a troll.

I can understand the not driving. Perhaps the family wouldn't let her have lessons or get her license. Some Egyptian families are very strict about a woman's independence. I don't understand the inablility to work. Just about anyone can work.

Can't your husband teach you to drive now? I would suggest going out and finding at least a part time job. You're quite young and you never know what life will throw at you. If your family has disowned you and things don't work out in the marriage you don't want to end up high and dry. Sorry if this wounds harsh but stop feeling sorry for yourself and start being proactive. Learn to drive and find a job. That will help with the sadness and loneliness.
