Received a phone call from a gorgeous ex-girlfriend who this morning called 'out-of-the-blue' to see if I was still around.

We lost track of time, chatting about the wild, romantic times we used to enjoy together.

I couldn't believe it when she asked if I'd be interested in meeting up and rekindling a little of that "old magic".

"Wow!" I was flabbergasted. "I don't know if I could keep pace with you now", I said, "I'm a bit older and a bit grayer and balder than when you last saw me. Plus I don't really have the energy I used to have."

She just giggled and said she was sure I would "rise to the challenge".

"Yeah." I said. "Just so long as you don't mind a waistline that's a few inches wider these days! Not to mention my total lack of muscle tone...everything is sagging, my teeth are a bit yellowed and I am developing jowls like a Great Dane!"

She laughed and told me to stop being so silly. She teased me saying that tubby, gray haired, older men were cute, and she was sure I would still be a great lover.

Anyway, she giggled and said, "I've put on a few pounds myself!"

So I told her to **** off.

The father, surprised, answers, "Well, son, there are three kinds of breasts. In her 20s, a woman's breasts are like melons - round and firm. In her 30s to 40s, they are like pears - still nice but hanging a bit. After 50, they are like onions."

"Yes, you see them and they make you cry."

This infuriated his wife and daughter so the daughter said, "Mum, how many kinds of 'willies' are there?"

The mother, surprised, smiles and answers, "Well dear, a man goes through three phases. In his 20s, his willy is like an oak tree - mighty and hard. In his 30s and 40s, it is like a birch - flexible but reliable. After his 50s, it is like a Christmas Tree."

"A Christmas Tree?"

"Yes, dead from the root up and the balls are just for decoration."

It depends. Some men do and some men don't. Although what each member of the opposite sex traditionally looks for in the other is, from what research I've read, mostly hyped up by Hollywood and the media and older generation stereotypes.

For instance... it's been traditionally said that women look for a man that will be able to support her and her future children. In other words, a real "breadwinner." In the past, this may have been true. Today, however, with more educational opportunities for women than ever before and more women in the workforce as well, I don't see nearly as many relying on men for income. Would a woman like to marry a man who has a solid career and a steady income? Sure, I can't imagine that's changed. But she probably doesn't hinge her choice on it as much today as she would have 50 years ago.

As for men, well... in my experience, when guys are young, all they tend to care about are breasts, legs and butts. As they get older, though, they do mature somewhat and begin looking at the personality of a woman. I figure it's because the guy realizes he's not going to be having sex every single moment of every day (like porn has taught him), so he'd better damn well like the woman's personality, since he'll be around it a lot. Furthermore, research has proven that attraction to someone's personality will make someone appear better looking in a physical capacity as well.

I don't know if this really answered there whole "double-standard" question or not. Honestly, that's too difficult to say.

I think the stereotype says that men will expect that their wives or girlfriends stay perfectly thin and hot while packing on the pounds themselves. But I don't think the stereotype is generally true, only because anyone I know who expected that he could get hugely fat and yet berate his wife for putting on two pounds would be regarded as an azzhole. So I have to think that it's a stereotype most well-adjusted people reject.
