just a quick question:

Are GC only valid for 2 years? Mine was for two years!

If you've been married for less than 2 years, yes. 90 days prior to the expiration, you need to file I-751.

Congratulations, our's took about 8 weeks (2 months, I guess) from start to finish, with an interview :D Some are going a little faster in the last year or so, but those who wait seem to wait a long time :(

Same as mine sweetie- since we've been married less than 2 years at the time the card was produced. So, in 2 years we need to remove conditions.

Thanks both of yah, for the advice. So, when exactly can i begin with "removing the conditions". Is filing the I-751 the same as this process ("removing the conditions") ?

I'm the freak here- I want my AOS process to be slow.

If my GC is issued after June 15 2008, I'll get a 10 year card instead of the 2.

LOL :)

Well, you have permission to leave the country already at least, since you're on a K3! :)

I think there is a certain time you have to file that is after almost 2 years but before the 2 years is actually up, and you have to do it within that timeframe. So you have to mark your calendar for some date almost 2 years down the line, and remember to file at that point

lol I agree Stacey - the real bummer comes in when you have been married just short of 2 years when adjudication takes place :P .. I "luckily" have passed that, but now I just want the stinkin card :ranting:
