Hi guys

I am visiting my wife in Bosnia at the end of the year

I got NOA1 but still no NOA2

What I want to do is to fill out for her all those forms that she is gonna get in mail later from NVC

She does not speak English , so I thought it is gonna be easier to fill it out forms now and then she can just fill those originals when she gets it in the mail

My question is what forms is she gonna get over the time so I can download them?

Thank you all

Elvis,

Since you are going the CR1 route, you and your wife be filing the following with the NVC.

1. DS-3032: The Choice of Agent form. Typically the alien designated their USC spouse as their agent. The agent will be receiving all mail from the NVC and can file paperwork to the NVC in the alien's name. Your wife will need to sign that. If you have a lawyer, he or she is the agent.

2. You will be filling out the I-864: the Affidavit of Support. In most cases, the alien spouse doesn't need to do anything for this.

3. You wife will need to sign the DS-230: the Immigrant Visa application. Please check to see if the embassy is now an appointment post, because that'll mean you'll need to do additional things.

**And, of course, you'll be paying $70 for the AoS fee and $380 for the IV bill.

You can fill out the forms together! All of the .pdf forms are available for you to fill out.

You can make your own DS-3032 by using James' Shortcuts, page 10 of the thread. This shows you how to make the barcodes that go on the DS-3032.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...=117&st=135

You can make the bar code on that form, and I don't think that the DS-230 form itself has to be modified-but the cover letter does need a bar code.

ooo

Can she already sign those forms?

I thought when she gets those forms from NVC the will contain some barcode or not?

As your wife's country is an Appointment post, you will need to submit several civil documents as well as a police

report(s) for her with your DS-230.

"For immigrant visa cases assigned to an Appointment Post, the NVC will collect the fees, affidavit of support, civil documents and police certificates, as required".

You can check out this link for specific instructions for the DS-230, just chose your consulate from the drop down list.

Also the NVC Process Flowchart will probably make it all a lot clearer, in terms of how things are processed.
