My husband and mother are a lot more impatient than I am...but that's because they don't have to do the childbirth part!!!

I'm definitely anxious to see my little boy. Everything is ready for him...

...especially my arms (L)

awww it could be any day!!! i am waiting as well....wondering when she will decide to drop....

Hey Shauna you will have to tell us how everything goes tomorrow? I bet your excited!!! Girl I know what your saying its getting harder and harder to work and the braxton hicks are getting stronger.

Thanks Yassmine! Hairties are a good idea, I keep losing them all the time... Amazing how much stuff I will need for just a few days! I'm notorious for overpacking, hope I can fit everything in the duffle bag I was planning to bring.

Hubby and I installed our car seat yesterday. It's a convertible infant-toddler seat, but when we installed it in full recline it looks like it's waaayyyyy to upright for a newborn to ride in it without his head flopping around. It also seems like there is just not even enough room to put him into the seat.

I had a full blown pregzilla- temper- tantrum because that was so frustrating! Do you have any advice how to fix this? :help:

also hubby threw the box away that it came in :bonk: , do you think we can exchange the seat without the box? I still have the receipt.

I need to copy those list and start to pack my bag soon. Why am I such a procrastinator. :bonk: At least I got the house clean last week. Hope it stays that way.

How is everybody doing?

I am sitting on pins and needles, wanna go out and buy pink stuff but then again, my mother in law said that I was going to get the baby shower I never had with Adam so I guess I'll get plenty of stuff then AND I already have everything I might possibly need...aaahhh, this is driving me bonkers :bonk::P

Oh that is so lovely and nice.

My family is giving me hand me downs from her cousins.

Tracy, I'm rooting for you. Anyday now might just be THE day. I hope everything goes well. You'll get through it somehow. Enjoy those last days with your husband alone.

I decided to pick up the cloth diapering again. Adam has a terrible diaper rash since he's getting abx again (ear infection no. 5) and also I think he's getting his molars and must be in terrible pain. He's refusing to eat and poops like crazy. Well, now he's got the rash and I had him walk around in cloth today and figured, why not. I'm getting new covers and some snappies and off we go. I'm really excited about it.:dance:

Eveline, do you like the cloth diapers? Are they hard to clean? Do you need an extra duty was her machine for them? Do they cause a lot less rashes for the baby?

Thanks :).

@Belvin: My husband bouth VitaminE Oil at Target, that really helps with dry, itchy skin. I use it when it's real bad and it usually helps.

Seems like my 'nursing-weaning problem' is solving itself here. Adam hasn't nursed since Tuesday. He just decided to sleep the nights through and during the day he won't nurse anyway. He doesn't seem to mind not to get boobie no more and I wont offer it to him but if he will wake up and he wants milk, I won't deny it either.

Thanks Eveline for the advice. I am going to try it!!!

I have itchy skin too & I'm using Burt's Bees Mama Oil. It's completely natural and smells awesome, and it's cheap compared to Mustela and other brands (at Long's drugs it was around 8 or 9 bucks).

My stomach is again so sensitive, I had a stomach pain for the last two days and it seems I caught some bug! My doc is still not concerned about the lack of weight gain, but at which point should I really gain?

You will be suprised at the labor date.... meaning any day now.

trust me on this, as I have seen it 24 years ago and 2.5 months ago. Our little girl was born one day early, yet the doc suggested 1 week later. Nature prevails.....

When you least expect labor, it will happen.

All the best you and your husband, on the birth of your baby!!!

Due dates are suggestions. In reality, anything between 37 and 42 weeks is normal and term. That is quite a range for variance and annoyance with every passing day. :P

Anna: As long as the docs are not concerned with your weight gain and baby measures right for it's gestational age, I wouldn't be worried about it. Just eat as it feels right to you (you know, all organic and skim milk  , no hotdogs or anything else you like, haha) and you should be fine. I never had problems gaining weight in my pregnancies but my friend gained a total of 9lbs and had a 7lbs baby (that was the girl who delivered within 30 minutes and was back to a size 2...argh...).

About the cloth diapers. I only started again (I cd him for the fist 7 months already) because he got a bad diaper rash since he's got a poop problem from the antibiotics he's taking for another ear infection. I thought 'why not' and gave it another try. I got all the stuff, covers, pins etc. back out and I love it. Adam likes it and always looks at the diaper. I stopped after 7 months because my washer wouldn't do it anymore. It was too big of a mess since he started solids and his poop was huge. Now I have a front loader. I haven't washed anything yet but I'm thinking that washer will do a much better job.

Hello ladies. Congratulations to those of you who are almost there. YEah. I'm back to post an update. I moved and I'm without the internet for right now, so it makes it hard to post. I'm at the library right now. The second ultrasound went better. The amonitic fluid is now slightly below mid-normal and the doctor who performed the ultrasound said it was ok and that they'll keep an eye on me. I'm still concerned cause I'm just over 22 weeks and I still can't feel the baby kick. I have a doctor's appointment this week and will bring that up. My biggest concern is having a stillborn baby as I've been diagnosised with gestational diabeties. I did start buying baby clothes and accessories now too. I should say we're having a girl too. I'm going to do the cloth diapers too, at least for the first 7 months and when I go back to work in the Spring of 2009, we'll switch the baby over to Pampers. I bought a playpen and an exerciser. Now my next biggest purchase is the stroller but I'm waiting on that till the babyshower my friends and family are throwing. I asked for gift certificates to Toy-R-Us so I can purchase the stroller there. So for the spelling and grammar mistakes. No time to run spell check as I have less than a minute and I'm going to get booted off the computer.

New Orleans Bound: Congratulations on your Baby Girl. This year seems to be the girl year. Last year everybody had a boy and now it's girls. That is so weird. Don't worry about not feeling the baby kick, maybe it's your placenta or the way the baby is positioned or maybe you always mistake it for gas. You can definetely bring it up tough. It's always good to get some reassurance from a doctor.

@Chrissy: Have fun doing 'laundry' and let us know when No2 is on its way.

Thanks, William. I'm ready to be surprised...though that sounds a bit contradictory.

Your little girl is beautiful, by the way. Thanks for sharing the photo :)

Good luck KS.

I remember how excited I was with Adam and then on my birthday - three days before my due date - I had a checkup and I was SURE that my cervix was dilating etc. I had braxton hicks like crazy. The doc checked and...NOTHING. 0 open 0 effaced. Argh, how annoying that was. At 41 weeks I was 1cm opened. I hope that No2 is a little faster than Adam.
