I'm not a big fan of the "What to expect" Book line. To me it feels like it's a big book of rules and they only tell you what the heck not to do. I guess everybody sees it differently and you only take the advice you think is necessary. I read the "pregnancy bible" with Adam and I loved it, I don't know how often I've read it but I loved it. Now I'm reading "Birthing from within" and I've read 'silent knife' in hopes to get over my C/S guilt. It worked a little but it took a looong time.

I will look to see if the library here has any of these books. Thanks for the suggestions.

My ultrasound is tomorrow. Boy am I excited. I dreamed that I had a boy and he was born vaginally...hope that is a good sign, haha.

Good luck at your ultrasound today. Maybe you can see what it is even though they don't want to tell you.

@William: Congratulations on your new baby girl. She is precious.

My sister got me that book (what to expect when you're expecting) a few weeks ago.. its really thorough and helpful, I've been reading it everyday on my way to and from work. I'll have to check out the other one you mentioned.

I see why you say it seems like a book of rules, I just take what fits for me and try to apply it.

A new addition to our family..

William-beautiful baby!

Tracy-You're almost there!!

Belwin and Nanny, not too far either!!

wishing you all the best!

During my pregnancy I read "pregnancy week by week". I liked it but I have found the most info online, sometimes the books only cover a certain aspect and miss topics that you wonder about too. Babycenter.com and whattoexpect.com are sites I frequented a lot, and still do sometimes to get info about the baby. :)

He has his 2 month Dr visit on Thursday. He will get his first immunizations. I bet he's gonna cry a lot. :( We'll see how he does!

I am leaving on Saturday to visit family in Alabama(they just moved there from here), and Sujeet is visiting India for 2 weeks. He is sad to have to be away from us for 2 weeks, especially from Kavi, but he hasn't seen his fam in a year either. They are also very excited about Kavi. I wish we could go but we didn't want to try traveling so far with Kavi right now.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

hey everyone,

just wanted to check in and see how people are doing and see how everyone's easter weekend went.

we're starting antenatal classes tomorrow (well my mom is going with me since cody is in the states) but it should still be interesting!

william - congrats on the baby girl, she's simply gorgeous!!

as for the "what to expect when expecting" books, my mother-in-law bought me mine and its got good information. it also tells you the worst case scenarios so you always worry about more than you need to, but to each their own!! i would have to agree on the weekly updates from websites. i get mine emailed to me and have a lot of useful tips in them.
