I don't do kick counts...mostly because little boy moves so much! He doesn't give me much to be concerned about, thankfully.

The Braxton-Hicks contractions can be really uncomfortable. Some of them make it hard for me to breathe. And they are definitely getting more intense.

Thanks for all the necessity purchase suggestions  Time to do more shopping!!!

Same here Tracy. This little boy never stops moving...all day and night. So, I never bothered with counting. Although, he's not as active as he used to be, but when he is it's painful.

Not sure what a Baxton-Hicks is supposed to feel like, but I have also been having a ton of back pain and cramping. It was starting to worry me last night. I've also had a lot of swelling that does not seem to be going away overnight lately. I'm sure nothing to really worry about, but luckily I have my regular Dr's appt on Monday.

Anyday now Tracy and Nannygirl82!!!

My husband is getting SO anxious...more than me. He keeps telling me to give him his baby

I'm anxious to meet my son, just not so anxious for childbirth. Plus, I really love being pregnant...as difficult as it is. It's the first time in my life that I actually love how I look :star:

Good for you. I really enjoy being pregnant too. Some women just hate their bodies when pregnant I think pregnant women are very pretty. After all, you are growing a real life in your belly and you should feel good about that.

What are u ladies doing for your back pain. It hit me really hard today. Can I get a heating pad to put on it. HD massaged the back but once he stopped it came back. It is making me cry today. I am thinking that not being as active today could be it. This is my first day of spring break so I was siting all day.

I am one of those who can't stand being pregnant the pain has been so bad at times. I think the womans body is beautiful pregnant. Just thinking I don't want to do this anytime soon again. I have to rethink maybe in 5 more years.

I am going to be a aunt again. Having a niece or nephew in November. :star:

@Belwin: I got hit by these back pains too lately! Walking and stretching works for me. Hubby gave me a massage before bedtime last night and that helped. Also a warm shower feels good at night.

Also the baby is pushing on my lungs and that adds more fun to the back and rib pain.

Hang in there! Just a couple more weeks!

I enjoyed the majority of my pregnancy. I got away without morning sickness, stretch marks etc but I'm looking forward to getting my old body back!

I don't even remember what my stomach looked like without a baby inside!

If I end up having a c-section maybe I could talk my doc into giving me a tummy tuck for the occasion... what do you lady's think?

i saw my dr yesterday...and told her about my back...and she said i was having false labor pains in my back....well needless to say my back is all out of sorts....so when they took the baby's heart rate it was really high about 180....so they had my lay down so i wouldn't be in so much pain the it dropped to 170 and then 10 mins later to 162...so they felt because i was in pain that increased my bp and pulse which stressed out the baby...so he gave me some pain medicine to take so i am more comfortable and said she think i will be in labor in about 3 weeks....i sure hope so....

Shauna I am glad that you are feeling better. Any day now.

Awww Belwin, I can totally sympathize. I have a lot of back pain too. I came into this pregnancy expecting that I would, because I have scoliosis and am used to my back hurting on a regular basis. But I was not prepared for the sharpness of some of these pains. For me, a hot shower before bed helps my back feel better. During the day, stretches. It still does hurt a lot though. I just saw my doc this week and he said he thought it would be fine for me to see a chiropractor, so I am going to try that. Prenatal massage has helped also, not just what hubby gives, but also seeing a professional.

oh ladies, i feel so bad for those of you who are having such bad back pains. i have spats of pain but nothing to the extreme the rest of you are having.

i have a question about belly's after babies, how many of you have returned to your pre-pregnancy clothing size soon after birth? i have only gained about 4kg which is 8lbs and i'm 28 weeks so i'm wondering how i compare to everyone else.

let me know about the heating pads or any tips for rib pain. i have been stretching and changing positions but its not working so well anymore!

I have gained 10 pounds so far and am a little over 30 weeks. I did start the pregnancy with extra weight though and have been trying to be very careful not to gain a lot.

To date, I've gained 15 pounds. I was wondering the same thing about how long it may take to be back to "normal" after giving birth. I plan to breastfeed, and I've heard that it helps to shrink the uterus back pretty quickly to regular size.

My back pain becomes almost unbearable when I'm standing upright or walking for an extended period of time (which is only about 15 minutes, now), and the only relief I find is by sitting down.

My amazing, wonderful mother helped me get everything ready in the nursery today. It's so completely precious!!! I can honestly say that we are truly ready for our baby...
