Lying on my left side and getting my legs a certian way where i can't feel it....it feels like my whole left side from my back/hip/legs hurt....my right side is ok it is just my left and it hurts....the shower will help...but only when i am in the shower :( oh well a couple more weeks left

Vernon Family - Welcome and congrats!

Tracy - I am having another ultrasound at 32 weeks, but honestly, I think the doctor only ordered it because I was so pitiful about wanting to know the sex and pretty much begged him :) LOL

Nannygirl - Vent away ... I totally understand back pain. I am experiencing it too. At first, it was just the sciatica, but in the last week or so, my central lower back has really started to hurt. For me, taking a nice hot shower (not TOO hot though) at night before bed helps it feel better.

I had the funniest experience today with baby kicking. I have been carrying really low and generally the baby kicks are right above my pubic area (sorry, don't know how to describe it otherwise). Today, the baby kicked me low but at the same time, I felt a sharp pain in my ribs. Is that the baby too???

i have has weird feelings kinda like that....i will feel something on my right side and then at the same time something on my left.....i swear sometimes it feels like twins are there....

I hated it when Adam was hiccuping. It got on my nerves so bad cause he wouldn't stop before 30 Minutes or so and he had it every day several times. Even after he was born he still had hiccups all the time. He still has it now occasionally, especially when he's laughing. For some time I didn't even want to change his diaper cause everytime I laid him down he'd start hiccuping.

hahaha that's actually really cute!! nikki isn't too bad with the hiccups so its just funny right now but i can imagine it getting annoying if it were to happen so frequently.

i did experience something for the first time last night that blew my mind. it felt like she was doing rolies polies in my tummy for like 25 mins. the outside of my stomach even moved with her! does everyone experience this?

I think so, yes. When I was about 28 weeks or so with Adam I could see his elbow or knee and sometimes my stomach was on the side and then he moved back to the other side. Here's a picture of me from my point of view (I was already at 39 weeks there). Adam had shifted over to one side or stuck his buns out or something. http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x244/Ev.../Belly/d0fb.jpg

Kavi had hiccups all the time when I was pregnant. It didn't hurt though so I liked when it happened. I was like ,"wow there really is a baby in there!".

Vernon family-yes that happened to me too. As I got near the end I always felt his butt moving around my upper belly and my stomach would move around.

Sometimes I would swear that my baby has invited some friends over...and that they decided to wrestle! When he starts really kicking around, I can feel it from my pubic bone to my ribs. It's really unbelievable

For the last 2 months, I have had (often) severe pain in my hips and lower back. When I walk, it feels like I may break in half. But no rib pain...unless his little foot is all up in there.

Welcome, Vernon :star: Glad to see a new member of our "expanding" family ;)

I guess it's a good thing that my doctor doesn't need another u/s, then. I was just hoping to see my baby again one more time before he's out :)

Wow! I guess I got really lucky with my delivery. I pushed for 10 minutes and that was it. I felt great right after delivery and not tired at all. I was doing chores the day they released us from the hospital. I even did my nails. :star:

I wasn't sore either and had no problems whatsoever.

I really feel bad for you, girls.

One other thing that is useful for the registry is a lot of burp clothes. Mason spits up all the time! Boppy is great, he loves to sleep in it as he doesn't have to lie flat which he doesn't like.

I also recommend Graco products, their strollers are the best.

Rub it in, too *just kidding*.

I'm glad to see that not every birth is so hard and that you had a rather easy one. I'm still hoping for an easy birth with No2.

thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. it's great to have people to talk through this with. sometimes i think i'm loosing my mind and the books only seem to tell you about the worst causes. i always worry more after reading them than i did before!

tracyluis - your post made me laugh. for the longest time i swore i was having twins or something cause i never imagined one child could move that much. 25 days left, you must be sooo excited!

lyuba - i have yet to give birth but i'm starting to worry about it. i know people have been doing it since the world was created and that it'll be okay but i fear the unknown. i have a horrible pain tolerance and even though i'm having the epidural i have a thing with needles so i'm horrified at that thought too. thanks for the advice on what to buy! any other suggestions you have would be great. we bought a graco travel system and just playing with it at home i think it'll be perfect!

eveline - that's cute! my tummy looks like that most of the time too. nikki always sticks out the right side and then when i'm in the bath or the pool she bends in a funny position and it looks like her arm or leg sticking out.

nannygirl82 - lol if it feels like a worm it's a BIG worm. no seriously i get what you're saying. i assumed that the bigger she got the less room she would have to move around, but so far it seems to be the opposite.

they do move less when they are bigger. BUT their movements are 'bigger' too. It's not just a tiny little kick anymore but a serious jolt in your ribs now

I was in the elevator at work this morning when my baby boy decided to give me a good, hard kick...as a reflex, I put my hand on my belly and grimaced a bit. You should have seen the look on the guy's face standing next to me!

I'm starting to make my co-workers VERY nervous
