wow thanks for the pics everyone! Seeing all the cute babies is getting me all exited now!!!

@Belwin Mills: I don't "waddle" but I'm at home all day and get a lot of rest. Don't know how you do it at this stage being up on your feet all day!! I bet you can't wait for spring break!

Do any of you guys have nightmares since being pregnant? I think I read about that somewhere. I'm having crazy dreams lately, almost every night.

I dreamt that the baby told me he doesn't like me! :crying:

In another dream I was holding him in my arms when all of a sudden his head fell of and rolled over the floor like a dolls head and then my grandmas dachshund came running and grabbed it!

Do I need a therapist? :help:

congrats to all the new preggers!!

YEAH Moody....another MENA baby!!!! Congratulations!

Carshel love the pics. Where did you get your 3d pics done. Are they expensive? We were thinking about go some place to get them done.

We went to a place called Babies First Images http://www.bfiatlappts.com/. We had them done twice (17wks & 28 wks) which came with a CD full of pictures and we got the DVD of the entire session. The first time I think was around $195+/- and all repeats are just $99.

Hehehe .... I am having those crazy dreams too .... and I AM a therapist!!!! I've also read that it is just another lovely part of pregnancy :)

Welcome and congrats to the newly pregnant / newly joining us.

The new baby pics are GREAT!!!! I LOVE Kavi's faux hawk, what a hip 1 month old :)

Belwin Mills, I can't believe you are still on your feet all day at this stage. Wow! I waddle all the time (probably because I am carrying so low). My mom and hubby now call me the penguin :) With your kids, can you create some fun activities to do while seated? Kids are great at being understanding. I work with both adults and kids ... with the adults, I am always seated in my desk chair. The kids usually want me on the floor with them, but have been really understanding when I (recently) explained that I just could not do that anymore (because then I could NEVER get up!!!). Good luck!

I've had some crazy dreams. I can hardly remember though. I think in one dream I went swimming with the baby, it was tiny and it looked like ET and talked to me, yet I loved it with all my heart..WEIRD. With Adam I never had weird dreams.

I went to a checkup today. My weight gain is fine, I guess I won't make it to 50lbs this time (yeah me), my blood pressure was AGAIN at a whopping 140/92 and baby measured at 18 weeks with a heartbeat of 148bpm. I declined the routine alpha fetoproteine test and the doc was fine with it. Usually I'm one of those "Doctor knows best" women but this time I have decided to get a little more into what they are trying to do to me. I also asked the doc a bunch of questions and he really took his time with me. He's ok with a doula, will let me do a VBAC (if my body is showing signs of nearing labor at 39 weeks) etc. MY doctor is on vacation so I talked to another one today, he was really really nice. I guess I have to get my little book of questions out for my actual doc when he is back from his lazy time.

I had strange dreams too. I had one about being in an airport or trian terminal with all my in-laws and somehow I lost the baby. Lost as in misplaced, like what your pocketbook or something. I was mortified! I also remember having recurring dreams about dating Harry Potter, too. Which, in my book, is even stranger than the misplacing the baby dream. Id be a serious cradle robber!

Eveline, Ill be interested to hear about your experience with the VBAC. Ive never known anyone, personally, who has done it successfully. Good luck with it!

my bp goes up and down all the time.....i think a lot has to do with what is going on at the time

i like my dr she lets me ask all my silly little questions and takes time to make sure i understand what is going to happen or what could happen...i really like that with this being my first......

I think my blood pressure is only that high at the doctors. I got induced for gestational hypertension with Adam and so I think that - unconciously (sp?) - I beat myself up about it and that makes my bp go up right before I go in. DH measured it at home and it was at 120/60 perfectly fine.

I hope my VBAC will be a success. I'm trying to work out more, not eat as much junk and brownies (although I'm craving it like crazy) in hopes of having a smaller baby (meaning under 9lbs) and I will try about everything that will get me into labor before 40 weeks. I'll walk even more, drink red raspberry leaf tea, nipple stimulation, "do dirty laundry" etc. If nothing helpes, my last resort will be castor oil and if even that doesn't help, i guess I will have to face another C/S, unfortunately.

I had crazy dreams while pregnant too. A lot involving the baby being born and being so tiny, like 2 inches long, yet was full term and that was normal. It seems I still have some these days too! I just had crazy dreams last night, one with Yao the basketball player helping me carry home things I bought. I don't even watch basketball, haha.

Eveline-I recently read a good vbac story, it was a success and I wish you the best. If it doesn't work out, don't beat yourself up over it!! But I hope it does. :)

I am not sure about the eating thing, I didn't eat so healthy during my pregnancy. I ate lots of junk and sweets over the holidays and yet the baby only weighed 6lbs 2oz, so my food didn't seem to make him bigger, just me hahaha.

i found some other things that you could try as well....

Labor Inducing Eggplant Parmesan

One of the methods of self-inducing labor that's been sweeping the internet in recent years is the myth that eggplant will start labor. This maternity myth started when a news story began circulating about a restaurant in Georgia named Scalini's. Apparently the mothers of over 300 babies have gone into labor in the past 23 years, within 48 hours of eating the eggplant parmegiana.

The funny part is, it may just be that the dish causes the women to go into labor, but it's not the eggplant. The herbs Oregano and Basil have properties that may cause contractions, though it is not yet known how or in what quantities. This is why, in aromatherapy circles, these herbs and essential oils are to be avoided whenever possible during pregnancy.

Acupressure/Acupuncture for Inducing or Augmenting Labor

There are two points on your body that will cause uterine contractions. They are always warned against during pregnancy, though they are widely believed to be another labor inducing method that will not work if you are not already ready to deliver. These points are about four finger-widths above the inner ankle on your calf, and in the webbing between your thumb and forefinger. You will know when you've found the spot because it will be very sore. You rub your calf, or pinch the webbing on your hand, in a circular motion for 30-60 second at a time, taking 1-2 minute breaks in between.

Then you can add that to my list too. Eggplant it is.

Eveline...my sister had a successful VBAC, so stay hopeful.

I dreamt last night, for what seemed like hours, that I was desperately trying not to go into labor. But that dream made a lot of sense to me, because my husband isn't here and I've been a little scared that he might miss the birth...especially when he didn't come home when he was supposed to.

Starting April 1st, I think I'll be ready to try some of those natural induction techniques

ONE DAY AT A TIME....

Eveline: I will be really interested in hearing about the VBAC ... hopefully it works out for you.

Speaking of dreams, I had one last night where I had to have a C-section but instead of making a horizontal cut, they cut me vertically from my pubic area up to my chest. I woke up feeling REALLY anxious and freaked out.
