Just wanted to say hi to everyone!

Kavi is doing good and growing! He has his 1 month Dr's appt tomorrow (just short of him being 1 month by a couple days). I am excited to see how much he weighs, he definitely feels heavier lately.

We are all doing good, tired but good. I feel a lot better emotionally and it's so refreshing.

Anna-How are you doing?

I folded my foam pad and placed it underneath me last night and was MUCH more comfortable. Don't know why I didn't think of it before....maybe because it was out in the garage. I hope my big butt doesn't flatten it out too quickly!

aaww...i am sure you will be fine...i'm glad it worked for you...i think i will soon have to get one as well...last night i had a horrible nights sleep....i got the bathroom thing down...but my stomach and sides were so uncomfortable....i hope tonight is better....

Like I've said before -- and we've all experienced -- pregnancy is SO glamorous

I don't sleep well at all anymore, but it's not because of frequent trips to the bathroom. It's the throbbing pain I get in my hips when I lie on my side for too long. I'm so tired of being so tired...and yes, I know, it's only going to get worse (the tiredness) when the baby comes.

my hips don't hurt it is my left shoulder that bothers me big time when i try to sleep on it...i try to sleep on my left as much as i can but the right just seems to work better for me...

i just did a search about how to help with the hips...maybe this will help you

A final tip: If lying on your side puts too much pressure on your hips, buy a soft egg-crate foam mattress pad. The egg-carton-shaped layer goes on top of your mattress and under the sheet and regular mattress pad for added comfort and air-circulation and is available in a range of sizes.

Hey Shauna I just got an email with all this info. LOL I read it this weekend.

i think i am signed up for every possible news letter or link to things having to deal with kids.... i just got that info yesterday....the tips are always so helpful!

I started weaning my baby a few months ago and it wasn't easy at all, but keep in mind I was his human pacifier lol  BTW we are almost there, I have one session left (he likes to fall asleep on the breast for his afternoon nap) and then it's over, it is not going to be easy because he is at home with me and there is no one else around, but we'll figure it out.

Do one step at a time and be patient, it doesn't happen overnight but it does happen.

Hope it helps and good luck with whatever you decide. :star:

Thanks for the advice. I breastfeed only once a day before my baby falls asleep and of course at night as he sleeps with me. But now I think that it is worth it to breasfeed him for a few months more.

Congratulations to all new mommies. Enjoy those days with your babies. They grow up waaaay to fast. Adam will celebrate his BIG FIRST Birthday the day after tomorrow. Last year this time I was in full blown labor mode, going through every procedure available at my hospital.

So far I'm feeling pretty good. I have some more aches and pains than I had with Adam. My back is killing me from carrying a toddler all the time but still I don't really have time to feel pregnant and concentrate on it as much.

Adam is down to one nursing at night and he doesn't nurse for the milk but the comfort. I let him go like that for some time before I wean him off completely. I started him on rice milk which he craves..I guess it tastes like breastmilk a little bit.

I just went to the doc yesterday and am now starting to go every 2 weeks. I will have my last ultra sound at 37 weeks. The doc talked to me about possibly having a C-section a week before my due date. Things went well. I can't believe I am still sleeping well. I have heard others talk about it getting painful to sleep. I hope I still have a couple of weeks before that comes. :)

Even though my hips and pelvic area hurt a lot while laying in bed while pregnant, I still was able to sleep pretty well up until the end of my pregnancy. I hope that happens for you too! Try to sleep as much as you can now before the baby comes. :P I long for that sleep now.

I just have a simple one a friend gave me(she had 2 and didn't need both). I have only used it a couple times so far but it seems fine. Mostly the baby still sleeps in his stroller swaddled and buckled in, so we haven't used it a lot. This is the one I have:

I fold up a blanket to put under it to elevate his head.

Happy Birthday Adam!! No matter how many times people tell you that they grow up fast you don't realize it until it happens. Eveline, do you give him regular adult rice milk? Does it have enough nutritional value? It sounds like something I would like to try. Regular milk makes my little one super duper gassy.

Sorry I have been missing...just trying to get into some routine. Things are getting better and I am feeling better. I still hate it when I can't figure out why he is crying...especially at 2am  but overall, the last 2 weeks have flown by and we are getting used to each other. Nicholas had a doctors appointment yesterday and he is 9lbs 10oz so he has gained about a pound from his birth weight. Doctor said that is just fine so I guess he likes my milk

Just wanted to stop by and say hi. Got to run...be back asap with more updates!

Thank you ladies...Adam's birthday is not until tomorrow though. Last year we didn't have February 29 (thank goodness). I'm busy making cakes and tomorrow we gonna decorate a little bit and celebrate with granny and mammaw.

As for the sleep positioner..we never needed one. When they are real little they don't move anyway and every now and then I stuck a rolled towel behind his back so he wouldn't have to lay on his back all the time. Then, he slept on my belly for a while cause he was grunting at night and wouldn't stop until he was finally on my belly and then he was old enough to turn by himself and bumpers, sleep positioners etc. just got too dangerous. In my opinion, they are not necessary but whatever workes for you is best.

I can feel my baby kick now. I missed that feeling although I had phantom kicks quite a lot after Adam. It's just little flutters for now.
