Hey ladies :) Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I am sick, fever of 101, headache, cough, all that fun stuff. I called my doc and ended up speaking to the on-call doc. He said that, since I am preggie, the only thing I should take is Tylenol. Well, the coughing is driving me crazy and my ribcage is really starting to hurt. Anyone have any good home remedies that don't involve medicine? I have tried tea with honey and then just a spoonful of honey and neither worked. Thanks!

Lots of vitamin C. I have vitamin C packages that I mix with water and they help. Sorry I can't help much more.

hhhhmmmm i always thought that if you have a really high temp you should go to the dr. or er cause the high temp could be harmfull....also if you have a infection which it sounds like you might they will put you on antibitotics....i have been on anitbitotics 2 times while being preggo....i really would just watch your temp...drink lots of CLEAR fluids....chicken broth helps....sudifed also helps as well...

feel better!!!

That is the one hard thing about working LOL the bathroom thing. I can't leave my students unattended and in one of the schools my room is in a portable classroom and on the oposite side of the school on the third level is the bathroom. Sometimes I have a 2 minute break between classes so I run real fast. I think this might be the main reason I take maternity leave early  . When did your back start hurting? Mine is not hurting yet. One blessing is I haven't had heart burn in 4 days. I better not say that it may come back. I am glad to say I have experienced pregnancy but this is the one and only for us. Shauna have u started going to your doctor every 2 weeks? Have u found a doctor for her? I am thinking about docs now.

Thanks for the responses :) I have been dosing myself with tons of Vitamin C and clear liquids. I did get ahold of my ob-gyn today and he said I could take something for the cough, Robotussin DM (apparently ONLY that kind of Robotussin). I just sent hubby to the store. The doc says I have the flu and I probably popped a rib out from coughing so hard (why I have a sharp pain whenever I breathe). I am so much happier now that I know there should be some relief.

My doc also let me take sudafed (but only the real thing).
