Hi there!

Today we got the bedding set (with moons and stars) and the mobile, hubby was pushing to order the rest of the collection but I'll just put everything in the registry. I'm very happy, is really cute  .

Any advice to fight the famous stretch marks?? I spend all day rubbing coca butter all over my belly and nothing so far but some friends say that is during the next months that they will show up :crying:, that means no more bikini right???? :crying: hahahaha

And girls at which point of my pregnancy is that I'll have to start going to see my Dr. every two weeks???

Caro@ I hope the roads are not so bad and you get to go to your appointment and see your little bean ;) , Buena suerte chica!!!

Tomorrow is going to be a crazy day, it will start snowing soon  and then rain  , bad day to go to work....

Have a good night everybody!!!

Hugs

@Vi: I got a few little strechmarks when I was trying to push Adam out. The change in shape when you push baby out might have your skin strech a lot. Then - because of the c-section scar and a limited "strechablility" - I got two or three more while pregnant with Allie. You can't see them anymore now. It'll all go away. I've heard people swear on that 'prefer on' scar stuff though. Apparently it makes strechmarks dissapear.

Just came back from the appointment, everything is great!

We got to see and HEAR the baby's heart beat! it was amazing!! 156 BMP (L)

It is measuring a little bigger than expected. I should be 7w2d, and according to U/S it reads 7w5d or 8w :luv:

I really liked our doctor, she is very nice and answered all my questions

Here's our little blob

@ Caro: HOw cute! Hm I'm very small and not tall (just 5feet 6 inches), I didn't show until the end of my 5th month, and then only a little. I wore regular clothes for a very long time...

@ Vi: No advice, luckily I didn't have any stretchmarks. I oiled my belly once a week or so with Burt's Bees Mama Oil.

I LOVE the Burt's Bees Diaper Rash Ointment. It smells and works good! I want to toss the A& D ointment I got into the trash. I have sensitive skin and I think Hana does too. She turns red at the drop of a dime. The Burts Bees stuff works well and the A&D is like a placebo.

We had a good night last night. Dad fed Zak quite a bit before bed and mom wrapped him up like a burrito and he slept from 1045 to 345! Babies and all are in such a better mood today!

Vi, stretch marks are hereditary (but that doesn't mean that if your mom have you will have it, or the other way around) It has more to do with how fast you put on/lose weight. I use bio oil every morning and cocoa butter at night. so far i have none. that's one of the reasons i decided to watch my weight now, because i've been putting on weight so fast and i didn't want to keep doing that and get stretch marks. so we'll see.

My friend is about 5ft 7in, she didnt look really pregnant at 9 montsh. Oh..she weighs about 120lbs and gained only 9lbs with her first one.

I myself am 5ft 6in and with Adam I didn't show until around 5 months. I wouldn't count on being huge early on, especially when it's your first pregnancy. Enjoy being able to move. You'll hate being all pregnant in the end.

I didn't get stretch marks with the twins until about 27 weeks. I just call them my "racing stripes".

I posted some pics today in my signature of the twins from today - they are 2 weeks old! I don't know how Zak sleeps like he does!

oki have a stupd question about weight gain during pregnancy.

Situation # 1: you weight 130. then at a certain point you are up 30 lbs (weight: 160) and then you lose 5 lbs and finish your pregnancy that weight (weight: 155). would you consider your total pregnacy gain 30 or 25 lbs, considering that a certain point in your pregnancy you were 30 lbs heavier? Some weeks you gain weight, some you lose. When you think about, some weeks you'll be heavier than others because you'll be bloated, retaining water, constipated, etc. So does that weight really count?

Situation # 2: you weight 130. you lose 10 lbs in your first trimester, with the ms and all. then you gain 30lbs (weight: 150). Is your total weight gain 20 or 30 lbs?

@ NEssa: Doctors/midwives count from your starting weight. Mine was 114. Then I lost over 7 pounds by the fifth month. Then I gained and ended up with 142 pounds, so they say I gained 28 pounds overall.

@ Twila: How cute! I can't imagine Jona was once that small (and he was really smaller)... It's crazy how quick they grow!

@Nessa: I agree with Anna. At some point I had gained 33lbs, then I lost 3lbs in the last week or so and my total weight gain was 30lbs.

yeah i asked on a pregnancy board and they finally replied saying it's your ending weight minus your beginning weight. so i guess on the first case would be 25 and the second would be 20.
