Chrissy@ Good luck the next time..... stay positive.

Twila@ So happy the babies are doing well, how is it at home? you got help???

Today I went for the glucose test, to be honest the "nasty drink" wasn't that bad. I have togo back on Monday. I think I forgot to tell you gilrs but there was some drama aroun my hubbies family. Here it goes....

We went to a X-mas party at my sister in law's house, had a great time and bla bla bla. Well this past week we got a call from her telling us that her husband's uncle that attended the party is infected with TB and he is at the hospital right now. You can imagine we freaked out because of the baby and the rest of the family too because there were a few kids attending the party. Everybody is going for testings and mine was today, I might be getting some results on Monday, so keep your fingers cross please  .

Hugs

Vi

@autum: The skull hat is adorable! That's exactly what my hubby would have picked out. He keeps buying him biker stuff.

@ Vi: hope all is well. I remember I downed that bottle on the way to the Dr. and I almost puked in the car. That stuff was nasty.

@Chrissy: good luck with the loan/rental. Sorry it didn't work out.

I didn't think that stuff was nasty. It was just sooo cold. It came right out the fridge and gave me a brainfreeze. I could have downed it a lot faster if it was warm..I'm weird like that. There's hardly anything that is too sweet for me (except butter frosting..argh..nasty...)

my first appointment was ok. i think i covered pretty much everything. here's a list:

- i was exercising a lot at the time, so i asked how much weight could i lift, about cardio, etc.

- about food, what can u eat and what u can't

- i have acne, so i asked what acne topic medication can i use

- meds that i was taking at the time, plus what OTC meds can i take, like if i have headache, insomnia, nausea, etc

- when was i going to hear the HB for the first time and when was i going to have the first u/s

- ask about prenatal vitamins and DHA

i didn't ask about the hospital and i found out later that they only do deliveries in 1 hospital and it's 1 hour to 1 and 10 min from my house if the weather and road conditions are nice.

Caro@ I asked pretty much the same questions Nessa asked, well, hubby asked aout the use of the microwave too. My Dr is very relaxed, she said to me to continue with normal life, and don't listen to every story other people tell me. I continue eating the same food (except my coca tea and coffee from time to time) and going to the gym but obviously doing some light exercise.

Good luck!!!

Hugs

Our dog realized he wasn't the baby anymore when we came home with adam. He'd sit there for days and whine and cry until it finally dawned on him that there's another baby in the house now. He was ok with it. Adam loves his marty and vice versa. I don't know which one of those two is the bigger troublemaker. Marty didn't even care when Allie came home. He just licked her and went on with whatever he was doing.

I read that babies that grow up with pets are less likely to have allergies as grown ups :) (the immunity system matures based on exposure to new allergens specially during the early years)

I grew up on a farm...I have allergies to about every single pet out there (except dogs, cats are really really bad). My dad got allergic to pet hair when he turned 43...after living on that same farm I grew up on for 43 years. He's got it really bad with asthma etc...I got immunized when I was 11 or so. Got shots for three years, it's a little better now but going backt o Germany in the springtime (got hayfever too) knocks me out everytime. That reminds me to bring the benadryl when we're going back in April.

Well I havent been able to post much lately, things have been really busy.

Wanted to say congrats to the new moms and moms to be and all you who are getting to the end of your 2nd trimester.

Zaid is now alll over the place, crawling and pulling up. He got a big boy haircut at the salon today and is looking as cute as ever. Hubby decided to play barber while I was at work yesterday and I came home to a baby who looked like he got attacked by an animal. THANK GOD the lady at the salon did such a good job fixing it. Zaid was soo cute sitting in the booster, he didnt flinch, move or cry, he just sat and let her do it.

All the babies are getting soo big. I know the group that was born around zaid is 9 months now, or just there. We go to the doctor on Tuesday for a 9month checkup and one booster shot. I cant wait to see how big zaid is, he has "chunked" up alot this past month.

Well i hope everyone is well.

Kelly

I have a bunch of cats, including a few that I hand raised from about 2 weeks old. They didnt bat an eye at the baby except to try to sit on her, I think they see her as a 'sibling'.
