I hope you get the loan Chrissy :)

@Staashi: I miss boldo tea! I should give it a shot. So far I've tried lemon sours, tea and crackers, preggie pops, and so far...:dead:

I still drink yerba mate ("yerba mahtay") in the mornings (only once a day) and that's my guilty pleasure. I will ask the doctor about the steak and go with whatever she says. Although I don't foresee being hungry any time soon

Caro

Chnst@ I got the top on super sale for $9, the original price during the summer was $29, the name of the store is Mandees and yes is in NY, there is one in Central Avenue-Westescher.

Nessa@We HAVE to go to register at the hospital soon, we keep postponing it, first 'cause they give the tours on Wednesdays at 1pm and we both work but our Dr. told us just to give her name and teel them that we are her patients.

Chrissy@Good luck, I hope things work well for you guys

Caro@During the whole first month I was having 'MATE DE COCA" religiously, "Coca Tea" I know what some of you are thinking, is not cocaine, is a tea make from the coca leaves, I just love it! but hubby was a little concern about that so I stopped drinking it.

I keep waking up once during the night and when hubby wakes up I run to the bathroom again, actually I spend most of the time in the bathroom hahahaha. I sleep fine, hugging one pillow and with the other in between my legs.

My baby moves alot, when I eat, when I have my dark chocolate or when I drink fluids...

Mommies and mommies to be@ I used to buy lunch at work but I decided to stop spending that extra $$$$ and bring food from home ( and what a difference, I really save $$) but when Hubby found out that I was microwaving my food he flipped out, he is totally against that, my Dr. says that is ok but what do you guys think???

@Vi: I see nothing wrong with microwaving your food. As long as it was previously cooked (if you have meat in there) and then put in the fridge ASAP, there shouldn't be anything wrong with it. I think dads sometimes overreact because they only have so little influence during the pregnancy. Eric kept waking me up at night (at 14 weeks) and told me to turn around because I was laying on my back and he thought I was gonna kill the baby. It was his way of telling me that he really cares. Tell him that you make sure the food is really hot and you take every precaution possible that no bacteria can develop.

@Chrissy: good luck with the house loan. If you do buy a house be prepared to put your life out there for everybody involved in the process.

@Nessa: I registered at 36 weeks with Adam and 34 weeks with Allie. I don't think there's any reason to register earlier than that. Maybe you can call the hospital and ask when the best time to register would be.

Wow so you can buy boldo in the US? I searched in vain. I needed it postpartum as it helps to alleviate jaundice in babies... I got milk thistle which helps too, but best is boldo & milk thistle... Where we buy Mate they have all things from Argentina (DH's mom was born in Argentina), but I never saw boldo *shrug*

@Vi: I always used to laugh at this lady at my work when she told me I MUST NOT stand in front of a microwave. Now after having a baby and being exposed to all these concerns, I'm not sure if its true or not, but now I duck, LOL.

I can't live without the micro, but I make sure that I don't use plastic/aluminum dishes and I don't stand right in front of it while it's cooking. I don't think it contaminates food, just tell your hubby that you are very careful and you're saving $$$.
