Oh gosh. Allie loves to watch Adam. He can't do no wrong in her eyes. She absolutely adores him. She cries and cries and he just climbs in her swing (for up to 25lbs...he's 30lbs, she's 17lbs) and lays his head on her chest and she starts to coo and giggle. He even pulled her off the couch the other day and she didn't say a word. He is her personal hero.

I've done the distraction thing. I even have a carrier. I guess I'm just so tired of her being so needy. I'm probably stressing out about this way too much but I just wish I could get her to amuse herself and allow me to do a few things without having her attached to my hip.

I'm visiting my parents and it's so cold here right now it makes it difficult to take her anywhere. The closet neighbour has a 9 year old in school and the other neighbour has two little ones but they're never home. I wish there was a mommy and me play group but there isn't. Oh well, I guess I stuck with misss whiny untill we get home and than daddy can take over.

Twila-Hope you are settling in well at home!

neworleansbound-I think babies go through that phase sometimes and yes it can be very frustrating, at least I thought so when you are trying to get anything done. I have had days where I want to pull my hair out and feel overwhelmed. Hang in there! I am sure something will happen to help, even if it's going back home.

well we have another ultrasound today to get all the babys measurements...hopefully we can tell the sex!

i have a quesion, for all the ladies who moved here from there countrys, do you miss not having your mother around, especially now you have babies?

hmmm not really. i really like to live my life and take care of my family, which is me, my husband and unborn baby, without having someone being nosy. I enjoy not having my mom or MIL living near us.

But since I'm a bit paranoid with the baby being in daycare so early, i would really love if my mom was around for a few months, plus, i know nothing about babies, she could help me with that.

grrrrrrrrr@some people. Remember i mentioned here that poll in the pregnancy board where some women said they drink 7 or more alcoholic drinks a week? So my comment was something like ''this person should join AA if she drinks 7 or more drinks a week'. then some dumb@ss came and quoted me and said so if someone drinks 7+ drinks a week they're an alcoholic my answer was something like ''...this person is pregnant and that can cause serious birth defects to the baby... if you're aware that having 7 or more drinks a week while pregnant can and probably will hurt your baby, and you still keep doing it, you're either doing it on purpose because you have no love for your child or you have no control, hence the comment on being an alcoholic.''

@Nessa, I totally agree with you . I did have a drink every now and then but I got hammered after two sips. My poor little liver didn't make it. I had two glasses of wine the evening before Allie was born. I was hoping to go into labor from that... . Why don't you look into finding another board, where pregnant ladies think more a like you. I like the mothering boards, even though some are a little obsessed with their babies but it's mostly ok

@Chrissy: Hoping for a girl. Yes, I'd like to have my mom near, not because of babysitting reasons but I'd like my parents to see my kids growing up. I feel bad that they only get to see them 3 times a year or so.

i like that board and i don't care if they think like me or not. plus it's only a couple people that do that compared to the majority of women that are responsible.

so i was reading about co-sleeping safety, and it says if you smoke you should not sleep with your baby because you exhale fumes, that was weird. good thing i don't smoke.
