so that means i'll never sleep. like ever if i have to get up every 2 hours for feeding and every 3 hours for diaper, what if they're not at the same time, i'll be constantly doing something.

exactly.

but the funny thing is, most of the time you will find you dont even mind... :)

hey wheres Twila today? are we on serious any-day-now baby watch with her?

and Anna - thats funny. I thought I was the only person who found the smell of pampers really yucky.

Thank you for the wipe tip CHnst. Right now I'm either using the Parent's Choice organic cotton (YES...ME ORGANIC...in hicktown-redneckcity I buy organic cotton wipes for my babies butts, haha) or the lansinoh breastfed baby wipes. I love those. They are so soft but rather pricey.

Actually, I was wondering, why not use cloth wipes. I did it in the beginning with Adam. Even if you only use them for pee and regular ones for the poop, that should work. They have tons of 'recipes' for wipe solutions out there..I guell I'll go check that out.

oh my goodness! How dare you! haha! It's weird, in NYC you can buy organic stuff everywhere, and it's not much more expensive. For example bananas: 1 pound 89 cents for the conventional. Organic; one pount 99cents. so there's no big difference and they all come from columbia. In the countryside its harder to find organic but all the food is locally grown.

I've never heard of organic cotton wipes though.... you're pushing it Eveline.... you're pushing it.... :lol:

On the changing diapers and feeding topic---for me they just pretty much went together. Every few hours he'd wake up hungry and after he ate I'd change his diaper and he'd go back to sleep. I will say at first, even with giving the bottle, it was about a 30-40 minute process. That's the part I found hardest, I'd be awake that long and then not fall back asleep very fast. It takes me a long time to fall asleep. Now he still wakes up around 2 times a night, but now I just hand him the bottle and change his diaper, he drinks much faster and is back asleep quickly at least.

See, I thought the constant pooping was normal. Adam would poop while I fed him and after I changed his diaper, he'd poop again...it was annoying. Sometimes he needed 4 diaper changes at night. Allie on the other hand was fine with two diapers from the beginning on. Now they both use one diaper a night, I'm glad I don't have to get up and change them no more. It takes me forever too to go back to sleep. A lot of times I end up on the couch watching TV..argh.

@Nessa: No, you won't sleep much in the beginning. Make the best out of it. I guess everybody here rolls their eyes when I tell you to sleep in one bed with baby or at least have baby in a co sleeper nearby (I tell every pregnant momma that haha). Now, I don't know if I lost a lot of time over feeding my babies or just staring at them after they were fed and sound asleep again. They are just too cute, have some milk running out their mouth and still making those suckling movements with their mouth. It's just total bliss, until the next morning comes by and you are completely overtired :lol:

:no: I wouldn't roll my eyes! I think a lot of others wouldn't. Before I had the baby I may have been more wary of it, and we didn't co-sleep when he was real little, but he was always near my bed. And even now he sometimes sleeps with us in our bed. :innocent: I don't want it to be too much of a habit now since he's almost one, but I don't mind it sometimes.

let me fnish that

you are completely overtired.... and then have to deal with a husband (the other baby) who wants to persuade you that it sure is ok to have sex a little earlier than the 6 weeks break you got from your doc. :yes: oh yes, absolute bliss.

Almost one year old...little Kavi. Wasn't he just born yesterday?

Adam is getting in the habit of coming in our bed too. Sometimes I leave him in there but mostly I take him back to his bed. Not that I don't like him being there, it's just that I can't handle little toes in my face and I don't want to be woken up by a finger sticking in my eye with somebody saying "AAAAAAYEEE??? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYE??? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYE????"
