Ok...get me off of this rollercoaster ride! Where should I start? So...my ob tells me yesterday tentatively a c-section for Friday. My nurse tells me this morning she heard Thursday. Then...the peri comes in this morning and sees no reason to schedule one yet and thinks because I am stable we should just go back to watchful waiting. Ok. So my ob orders another 24 hr urine test and an u/s. Well...one the babies (the constantly stubborn one whom has shown he has loved to sleep since the 18 wk anatomy scan) got a lower score on the biophysical profile because he refused to move his arms and legs in response to a very loud sound over his ear. He moved his body, stuck out his tongue, was breathing up a storm, just didn't want to do anything but chill. So...now I am not allowed anything to eat or drink after midnight, and if he doesn't pass the next bpp at 5 am tomorrow, then they will probably have their birthday tomorrow!

Good luck to you

Dakota@ I know exactly how are you feeling, I was so nervous and scared in the beginning, we have been married for 4 years and kept postponing the baby idea, although we had both families asking for a little one for the longest time. We finally agreed to start trying this past October so he could have a summer baby this year but I guess life had different plans for us,I got pregnant in July.

Hubby was in shock the first days but then he started planning our life with his new baby BOY, you can imagine his surprise when we found out that we were expecting a girl. Now he is in heaven and can't stop talking about his little Princess and how much he is going to spoil her. He talks to the belly all the time (and keeps telling her that she won't have a boyfriend until she finishes her MBA, hahahaha)

Be positive, I'm sure alot of the mommies from the "baby corner" passed though the same , it's definitely a rollercoaster but a blessing at the same time. Good luck girl!!!

Thank you so much for your kind words. Guess what? Hubbies slowly getting excited. He looked at me smiling yesterday and went "I am going to be a dad". LOL

I am noervous and fell kinda sad that our spontanios times will be over..

Anybody else had those thoughts? I loved the alone time with my husband.

And then at night around 2.10am I woke up with a horrible cramp on my leg, I made my poor hubby jump, he thought there was something wrong with the baby but boy it really hurt, so much that I cried :crying:

Hope you have a great night

Vi - I've had horrible leg cramps for the past 3 nights. It is driving me nuts. I woke up Monday night crying in pain because it went from just beneath my butt to my calf. I couldn't walk, couldn't sit - my hubby had to give me a massage and I cried the whole time. It was extreme pain. :crying::crying:

It didn't work for us - said we were to have a girl and we're having a boy. Actually, it is a 50/50 shot - one said it's a boy, one said it's a girl. Go figure!

Well...Zak decided to behave himself this morning. So...I am back on watchful waiting. My ob stopped in this morning and told me she would get with the peri and come up with a plan as to when this amusement park ride will come to its conclusion. About 15 minutes later, the peri came in and said he had a long talk with my ob. They decided that if we remain stable, then the babies will definitely have their birthday sometime next week (which is 36.5 to 37 weeks).

Oh...and at the ultrasound this morning, Hana (baby A) was head down! Now...if Zak would now switch from breech that would be great!

I had some horrible pain for a week or two about 27 weeks. My doctor said it was more than likely the position of one of the babies. If they press on your sciatic nerve it is like having sciatica (which I give people a great deal of credit for dealing with).

Yeah, I am kind of sad sometimes that we didn't have more time just the 2 of us... But having Ben is much better. And it makes us appreciate "alone-time" much more. I do believe though with 1 baby you have more freedom and spontaenity than with 2 or more. We still travel, go out and all that and we either bring him along or finding a babysitter is easier with just one too. Don't worry too much about that. Your life will evolve around your baby and you will find ways to work around your schedule and the baby.

The chines calendar was right for me. But I don't believe too much in it. After all the chances are 50/50. I believe more in intuition. I kind of knew it was a boy, but I was scared to tell everyone in case I made a fool out of myself and I ended up with twin girls.

Isn't one baby ALWAYS breech when it comes to twins? I mean, they have no room to fit in there head down, right? I thought once one baby was out the othere one needs to be watched on how it turns. Isn't that why they usually do twin vaginal deliveries in an OR so they can intervene if necessary? However, Twila, all the best. It sure has been a rollercoaster ride for the three of you lately.

@Dakota: You can still do things when you have kids. They get older too evenually. I see my parents, both in their late forties having the time of their life. THeir kids are grown up and they have all the time in the world. We still go out to eat with both kids, I still meet other people and you just adjust your schedule according to the kids. It's not that hard to find babysitters or maybe you have some family around. HOnestly, for the first year I didn't even want to give Adam to a babysitter OR granny at all because I felt best with him around me. Yes they both go on my nerves sometimes but you grow with it. It's not like your life is changed from one second to the other. You are pregnant for nine months, plenty of time to get ready and then baby sleeps a lot (hopefully) and gradually gets more demanding and then - as they get more independent - it gets easier. You have a routine, know when you can go out etc. It will be fine. I'm glad to see that your husbands adjust to the thought of being a daddy soon.

Never mind, I messed that up. ONe baby should be transverse and one head down in order to assure vaginal delivery of twins. Sorry about that.

My ob said she would only do a vaginal delivery if both babies are vertex/vertex. Some other soon-to-be mommies of twins have been told the same as well. So...I guess vertex for both is possible. I don't know if they would even let me have a vaginal delivery with the bp issues anyway. It is just nice to think about the possiblity.
