Are those convertible carseats? I'm sorry, I'm not that familiar with the britax as I stick with Graco after all. If they are convertible get baby a good head support system cause they are so small and their heads just bob around in the beginning when they are sitting too upright.

I am still hanging in there. From what my nurse told me, my bloodwork is deteriorating a little bit. So they are drawing more blood tomorrow and running the results of a 24 hour urine tomorrow. It is looking like they are probably coming this week! I'll keep you updated.

Wow I couldnt imagine having that happen. twins in different years! lol..

Wishing everyone a great New Year. Stay safe. I work til 830 tonight and 7am tomorrow so were not doing much of anything. Probably for the best anyways. I kinda just wanna be in the comfort of my home tonight with the hubby and baby boy.

On a baby note....Zaids two front teeth popped in. He looks like a goon. We have had 4 nights of getting up and down, hopefully it will be over soon.

Jaylyn is the same way her top teeth are cutting in right now and she is eating everything. I can't wait for them to come in.

Hi Yaads,

Congratulations on your pregnancy! And thanks for sharing the news with us here on VJ. Likewise, I'm a newbie on this VJ "Baby Corner" forum too, so I guess in that sense I'm a newbie too.

That is so funny Ant  I am sure I would have accidently spilled the beans as well if I wouldn't have just come out and told everyone lol

Twins born in different years?!? Wow that sure would be a lot of explaining all the time!

Hope you all have a wonderful New Year!

Oh Congrats YAADS I haven't been on for awhile. I am so happy for you. I know you have been following this forum for awhile.

JAMIE!!!!!!! CONGRATZ!!!! If you have a boy we could set up some kind of set up.....:lol:

Yep :luv:

My 1st appt isn't scheduled til Jan. 27 which is way to long to wait and tell people. So there you go VJ...consider this my official announcement - I am pregnant! YAY! I am 6+ weeks now but I wasn't sure when to start telling people and all that good stuff...I am a newbie

Jamie I waited 3 months to tell coworkers. I told Family at 7 weeks. When my coworkers made me do the Virgina Wheel Dance station for fall harvest party at school. I had to tell because my cookies were coming up. Hang in there on morning sickness hopefully it will go away after the first trimester.

Booty congrats on the twins

@Moms: I want to get rid of Ben's infant gear. Like the baby tub, Swing, Infant car seat, 1 stroller, Bassinet, and some other stuff that takes up a lot of room. I don't want to put in on ebay for the hassles of shipping. Any suggestions? Stores? Internet?

If you want money for it then go try Craigslist although the consignment shop thing is a good idea. If you want to give it away you can look up the local chapter of Freecycle, or I just kinda waited until I heard of someone else who needed it.

and Mnieto - I was lucky enough to work with several people who had young babies and children so I just asked for some word of mouth personal recommendations and then went and met with various people until I felt good about someone. She's great :) . Do you have friends, acquaintances, coworkers, etc who you can poll?

Sarah I love freecycle. I have given stuff away on that site and received stuff. It helps out people who really need items that can't afford them and I have given other items to family members and friends expecting babies.

For money I have no clue.

Aicha's going into labor. We'll have a...

never mind. Labor's over, Emmy is born. 7:13pm PST. 7 pounds 3 ounces. She's beautiful. :)

Pics later.

Congratulations !!!

it's a compact convertible, whatever that means. rear facing 5-35lbs and forward facing 20 - 40 lbs.

@Nessa: Like I said, get good head support with it. They sell those little pillows at Babies R us. Allie had those in her seat (snugride babyseat) because her head would always flop to the side real bad. The pillows helped though.

@Twila: Congratulations...you must be so excited. I know I am for you. You have done so well and just coped with everything that came along. I can't wait to see your little babies.

@ Twila: Yeah 36 weeks! That's pretty good! And who knows, maybe they let you go a little longer or your little ones are really nice and big for their age! My son was born at 37 weeks though the pediatrician thought he looked more like a 36-weeker (the new obgyn had changed my due date - according to the original one he definitely was a 36 week baby). The point is: we could take him home right away. No NICU, nursery or whatsoever. Of course we had jaundice, but that was no biggy - you just nurse them a lot and expose them to lots of sunlight. :) Good luck with everything!!!

Carseats: we now have the Britax Boulevard. It is technically from 5 to 65 pounds, but for the first 18 pounds we used the Maxi Cosi Mico (Cabriofix in Europe). Jona's head was too little for the Britax in the beginning (he know grew into it, ehehhehe), so I just folded some prefolds around his head (cloth diapers). At Tj Maxx they have those tiny headrests from Carter's for around $5 - I think a newborn would def need it!

Pregnancy weight: I gained 28lb overall. All of it after 20 weeks. After leaving the hospital, 20lbs were gone right away. Now I have always between 3-5 pounds left, sometimes less, sometimes more, it's kinda funny how the weight varies throughout the week! But I don't notice it, I fit in my old clothes perfectly, just my chest is a lot bigger than before from the breastfeeding. Everything is really tight and I think I look a little funny with the over proportional chest.... A NP recently asked me whether I had implants  (I'm a size 2 and my bra size is around 34C-D now, my DH makes fun of me that I look like a playboy bunny). I guess the chest will return to normal size once Jona weans himself.

Tomorrow is Jona's 4 months-check-up, let's see how much he weighs and how tall he is! According to our own measurements he weighs 21.1 pounds and measures in at 26 inches. I can't measure his head as the tape measure is kinda hard and I'm too lazy to do the thread around the head trick....

The twins have been running a little big my whole pregnancy. The last measurement u/s I had about two weeks ago, the girl was in the 88th percentile for size and the boy was in the 67th percentile (I don't know how much I count his measurements because he is curled up in a ball down low and they have a hard time measuring him). I will be shocked if they both aren't over 5.5 lbs. I was also given steroid shots for their lungs around 29 weeks, so they should have a very good chance of having minimal, if any, NICU time (provided, God-willing, all else is good).

Hi guys

I have not been very active in this forum latly but from time to time I hop into the German area to say hi to everyone.

So today I got to find out I am pregnant. I am only like max 4 weeks along and it is still a kinda shock to me.

I got to find out this morning I was crying and shaking like crazy. My husband is very shocked also and we had a long talk about what to do.

I am now kinda getting used to the situation although it honestly scares me to death. I keep asking myself what if I am no able to cope or how bad is the birth gonna be and all that.

Whew....

I husband loves kids and wants kids but he said he does not know if he is ready right now. He would prefer to wait 5 years but he said he might still be as scared in 5 years.

But as one of the girls said "there is never a perfect timing for a baby".

I honestly don't have the hearts to have an abortion even if babies can be a pain in the neck at times LOL.

My parents are wayyyy excited I don t have any brothers and sisters so it is going to be their first grand baby.

I think it is slowly growing on my husband especially after doing the Chinease Ginger Calender online and telling him according to that it would be a boy... his eyes started glowing LOL

The only thing I am kinda sad about is that I would of liked more alone time with him before a baby.

Oh and congrats to all that are pregnant and just had babies!!!
