Yes, he had the surgery on the 31. Poor little thing. He did good though. His surgery was around 6:30am and when he woke up he looked like he had a major hangover. We stayed about 20 Minutes and then left. We were back home at 7:30am and Adam was the old self. I hope that the ear infections stop now. He's doing very good tough.

Girls!!!

Hello from the Big Apple, how was your Ne Years celebration??? hope you had fun....

I'm getting rounder and bigger, I have my appointment on Monday and I hope that don't gain so much weight, yesterday night I had a super craving for fruit and went with hubby to the closest Pathmark to buy tons of fruit. I'm being a little concious about my weight, hubby doesn't like it, I know I have to gain weight and I'm gaining weight I just don't want to gain 40 or 50 pounds, am I crazy???

take care chicas...

I read about sleeping schedules a couple of pages back. I agree with AnnaC. Allie is still fully breastfed, still going to be for a while and she sleeps from around 8pm until 5am and then again until 8am. She takes about 4-5 naps during the day, feeding is differently every 2 - 5 hours. Depends on what we are doing. If we are out and she fusses, she usually comforts herself sucking her thumb. If we are home, I give her the #######.

I don't think much about Babywise. After all, Dr. Ezzo's children don't even talk to him anymore cause they were just appaled by the thought that their parents would let them cry and not comfort them. It is outdated and completely against any maternal instinct to just let your child cry. I wouldn't want to be an 80 year old woman crying in a nursing home cause I'm hungry or needed something but nobody cares cause 4 hours are not quite over yet...

@VI: You are growing...finally. It is ok to gain weight, you are pregnant and your body is just gonna take however much it needs. Enjoy it.

Chnst, CONGRATS on bens first tooth!! I have a feeling within the next week or so a few more will make thier way to the surface. Zaid started wiht that one lil bottom tooth only 4 weeks ago and now he has 5 teeth that have cut through the gums. it made for a few rocky nights but other than that he has done great.

Ev, glad to see you back. I hope things work out for adams ears. My nephew had 12 ear infections in 16 months when the doctor decided to do tubes (he was 19 months at the time) he is now 3 and hasnt had an ear infection since the surgery. We just have to be extra careful with baths and swimming. We put cotton balls drenched in vaseline in his ears every night before bath. He hasnt lost a tube yet!

you're not crazy vi, i don't think anyone wants to gain 40-50 lbs, but you're pregnant so don't worry about it, you'll lose it once the baby is born and u start breastfeeding

Pregnant mamas: you look fabulous! Your body is supposed to be getting round and beautiful--you're growing a new life in there!

I gained 42 pounds in my pregnancy. I was not happy about that, but my body did what it wanted to do. I think a lot of my extra weight was in water retention--my feet and ankles were huge (be thankful if you're not big pregnant during the heat of the summer)! The week after giving birth I just peed and peed, and something like 25 pounds just came off!

4 months later, I am still up something like 4 or 5 pounds. No big deal, since I'm still breastfeeding. I need to start exercising to get myself back in shape, but that is my own fault, not from the pregnancy.

Hey, where's Twila? Any new bambinos yet?

@Carolyn: Summer pregnancies are terrible. Especially down here in the south where it is sooo humid and you can't even go outside when you are not pregnant. I think I've spent 3 months or so in pools and splashparks and the last month I was mostly inside. It was a drag just to get Adam into the car...arhg. Won't do that again

@Pregnant Mommas: You do look great. I love babybellies.

i just bought a car seat on sale, saved around $60. i read that britax roundabout is the smallest one to fit on the camaro, so we measured and all and decided to buy. we won't be using the camaro as much as the Vibe with the baby, but we need two for days i drop him off and charles picks him up. it would be a pain in the a$$ to have him coming to where i work, leaving his car, getting my car...
