the glider i'm thinking this one:

I love your #4 option for furniture. I got dark wood for my little one as well.

Just wanted to say that I bought that same glider. It is very low to the ground, more so than other gliders. It made it very difficult to get in and out of, as I am 5'9". I only was able to sit in it a couple of times. It actually broke (supporting wood spindle on the base snapped in half) while my daughter (65 lbs at the time) was sitting in it. She wasn't bouncing or anything. Just sitting and gliding. I really wish that I had bought one of the more substantial ones. Maybe it was just a freak oddity, but just thought I would share that with you.

Btw, I LOVE your 3D/4D ultrasound pics!

Twila--so are you in the hospital or at home? Bedrest is no fun...hang in there, though! Just a few more days!

New Years? Huh? Not exactly a priority this year. Honestly, it seems more important to try to keep my little one on a decent schedule then to try to go somewhere to celebrate. Maybe we'll see if some friends want to come over or else it will be a relatively quiet evening at home (with maybe a glass or two of vino for fun).

Simo and I both wish we were in Marrakech, Morocco for the Christmas-New Years holidays...

Twila, I hope you are feeling well. :)

We are probably having a few friends over to our house on new year's eve. At first we were going to their house, but they are moving soon so I offered my house. It will be a family friendly gathering and none of us drink, so it'll just be hanging out and stuff.

I forgot I wanted to write here something exciting about the bilingual aspect of many of our babies that will happen. Kavi says a word in Hindi now! He started saying it clearly I think on Christmas Eve. It means "come here" basically, which he hears all the time from daddy if he's crawling away somewhere or touching something he shouldn't, lol. It's "aaja" is how the word is written, I think, not sure. But I know how to say it too. It's funny, he'll start dancing with his arms chanting "aaja aaja aaja". He still hardly will say mama!! dada is all the time, and bababa and rarely mama. :( hehe!

We told everyone right away or within a week, we just couldn't hold it in. But I didn't mention it on VJ until I was about 8 weeks along, I don't know why but I waited just in case something happened, it'd be one less place to talk about it again. I was bursting to tell though!

My 1st appt isn't scheduled til Jan. 27 which is way to long to wait and tell people. So there you go VJ...consider this my official announcement - I am pregnant! YAY! I am 6+ weeks now but I wasn't sure when to start telling people and all that good stuff...I am a newbie

Congrats Jamie - I waited 4+ months to tell coworkers and VJers and almost 12 weeks to tell family. I had lots of bleeding where I kept thinking that I was going to lose the baby (even the OB told me that it was most likely) so I figured I would not say a thing because I wouldn't want to have to tell everyone good news just to follow it up with - ummmm I miscarried. Fortunately, I'm now at 25 weeks and all is so far good...guess I just won't believe it until he's finally here. :)

I also wanted to say one other thing about the sharing of the good news...by all means, do it. But, I give one word of advice...I would want it to be confirmed by your ob through the initial diagnostic ultrasound, that it is all well and good, thriving in your uterus and not in the fallopian tubes. Which would cause a pregnancy test to show up as positive but it wouldn't be a viable pregnancy. Just my two cents.

Hey ladies. I haven't really posted anything here yet. At least not that I can remember. You know how that pregnancy brain thing goes. I thought I would post my u/s pics and a belly bump at the same time. I'm about 12 weeks pregnant with twins.

Unfortunately with the u/s my doctor didn't distinguish between Baby A and Baby B. I'm just posting 3 of the 10 pics he gave us yesterday.
