Happy Holidays Everyone! I love all the new baby pictures including the ultrasounds!! :star:

@Anna: Lufthansa sucks when flying with a baby. They didn't let us make a bassinet reservation either and we checked in 4hours prior the flight and they told us there were no bassinet seats. There were 6 babies on that flight and no baby was able to get a bassinet because of friggin' selfish old people who wanted more legroom. The stewardess asked the lady in front of us if she would switch because it was sooooo super tight with Ben, but she said no and reclined her seat during the entire flight! Everyone just rolled their eyes when they saw the baby and we got yelled at for changing Ben's diaper on the floor after waiting an hour to get to the nasty "changing room". It was the worst flight ever even though Ben was sleeping and playing the whole time. Luckily we traveled with Swiss Air on the return flight and they let us make a bassinet reservation and were super nice.

About the stroller-I'd be very careful- if it doesn't fit through the x-ray machine were they scan your carry-on, you will have to check it in or leave it. Carry On Strollers have the same regulations size-and weight wise as carry on luggage. Also- you are going to have to collapse it at the gate by yourself- or they'll do it and it might get broken if they can't figure it out.

We have a Teutonia too but I wasn't sure about the size, so we used the Maclaren. Its much lighter and easier to carry on. When are you flying to Germany? Are you going by yourself? Here's another tip- carry on as little as possible and bring a sling for the baby.

We had Ilyas' 4 month check-up yesterday--he's doing great!

He now weighs over 13 pounds--still a bit small, but double his birth weight, and the doctor seemed pleased with his growth. He's also getting tall--25 inches (but how accurate is measuring a squirmy infant?).

My question for y'all: when did you start feeding your babies cereal? My doctor said we could start anytime between now and 6 months. I am still breastfeeding and hope to continue until he is a year old. I don't feel any big rush to start him, but am wondering how babies react at different ages. TIA!

Cool pics, Nessa!

I didn't start my daughter on cereal till she was nearly 5 months. I don't spoon feed it to her, I just give it to her in a bottle at night to top her off because my breast milk supply has diminished to less than ounce a day. I'm going to start her on veggies in the new year.

Hope all the babies enjoyed their first chrismas....(or 2nd or 3rd for some)

Goodness Zaid is so cute. I love his pics.

[Happy Holidays Everyone!

I didn't get a c-section date at my ob appointment yesterday, but she basically told me just two more weeks! The ob and my peri want me to make it to 36 weeks and chances are the babies will be mature enough for no NICU stay. So...just keep reminding me...two more weeks, two more weeks, two more weeks!

Twila

Amber decide to do a 180 a week before she was due, wanted to come out feet first, daughter-in-law was apprehensive, normally keep my mouth shut, but attempting a natural birth like this can be a disaster. She recovered remarkably quick and Amber came out without oxygen deprivation. The bikini cuts they use today are barely visible and good to have a doctor that knows how to sew, straight. Already know people that had to put up with a retarded child the rest of their lives, quite a price to pay.

They aren't hoping they will turn or that I can deliver the old-fashioned way. They are just hoping for me to keep them cooking for two more weeks. Both of the twins are not in a presentation for anything but a c-section. There are also other factors that make surgical delivery the safest route for me and I am fine with that.

how's everybody doing? I finally decided on the bedding theme:

pTRU1-4800449_alternate2_dt.jpg

It's not too bright or too babyish, but I love it, simple, blue and white. of course the wall will be green, not orange and that's not the furniture.

now for the furniture i've decided to go dar wood (either cherry, espresso or oak). I'm between these:

Definitely get a glider and ottoman, but watch out- you might have to kick hubby out of it A LOT. They are so comfy.

@Moms: I want to get rid of Ben's infant gear. Like the baby tub, Swing, Infant car seat, 1 stroller, Bassinet, and some other stuff that takes up a lot of room. I don't want to put in on ebay for the hassles of shipping. Any suggestions? Stores? Internet?
