I started getting my bag together for our special day

I have my robe, gown, tennis balls (for massage) and nursing bras in it. Then the going home outfit, some socks for him, a hat for him and a bib. There is more to do, but it was fun getting out the suitcase :)

I did not sleep AT ALL!! last night. None. I am so tired this morning at work and I did have a cup of coffee and would love 10 more, but I know that would make the baby nuts, so I am trying to resist.

I have an u/s tomorrow and I can't wait to see what they say. I know we are close, but it still I know it will not be this week so it seems so far. I can't wait to see what he looks like.

Labor dust to all those close to delivery! I can't wait to see pictures!!!

How is everyone feeling today?? I am a little sore in the crotch area and super tired.

Good luck to those close to delivery :)

It's funny that you wrote that you are a little sore in the crotch area ... I just signed on to post a question about that. I have been pretty sore there for a month or so .... that is what makes moving uncomfortable. I asked the doctor and was told that is normal ... but I was just wondering if that happened to anyone else so early on and if it goes away??? :)

I am getting really excited!

Glad you packed your bag!Let us know what happens at your u/s.

About the soreness, mine is everywhere in my pelvis and hips, the worst is while in bed.

It started around 6 months I think. There is something called Symphisis Pubis Dysfunction and I think I have it a little. It's when hormones cause too much loosening of the hip and pelvic joints, causing pain in activities like rolling over in bed. It doesn't effect my walking too much so it's not that severe, but definitely hurts in bed.

But really, maybe I sound silly, but it's still not nearly as bad as I thought pregnancy would be on my body. I expected so many more pains and annoyances. I either have a high tolerance for pain or I am too excited about everything to think much about the pain. I had morning sickness from weeks 8-16, but still I would do it again.

I am still excited that I am pregnant, after trying for about 5 months to get pregnant(which is nothing compared to some!). So really I am a very happy pregnant girl and still love every kick and movement of the baby inside. I know some people might think I'm too happy about it all, but also it can give those who aren't pregnant but want to be hope that pregnancy isn't always as bad as it's made out to be, even with all the aches and such. When I go out, people expect me to be miserable and say "oh I bet you can't wait to get that baby out!", it's like they want you to be miserable.

I can't wait to meet little Kavi! I can't believe it's happening so soon!! How soon, I don't know! :)

I am watching "Bringing Home Baby" and the baby is so cute.

I have been having crotch pain for awhile. It has gotten a little worse and definitely more frequent as the weeks have passed. I really don't remember when it started, but I wouldn't be surprised it it has been 3 months. It started slowly, when I would get up after sitting for a long time, and now it is constant. When I am sitting, sleeping, walking, anything. It is totally tolerable, though. Just a dull ache that is an annoyance, but not enough to complain a lot about or take pain medication for. Yes, I have been told it is normal and it will go away after the baby is born.

My hospital bag is packed and everything else is done.

It is really hard to walk now and I feel bad pretty much all the time. My doctor says that if I don't give birth this week, I will be induced by the end of the next week. End is in sight. I really hope Mason will come out by himself SOON!!!!!

Ive had that 'special soreness' since about week 12. It comes and goes, but its just ligaments and muscles loosening and stretching. Mine is way worse after being on my feet too much. And as mentioned above, sometimes rolling over in bed makes it excruiating.

Glad I'm not the only one!!! Thanks guys for the replies. It is worse when I roll over or get up from sitting. Just annoying .. and of course that prompts people to comment on how "I must be carrying low and it is a girl", etc.... when they can see from my facial expression there was a twinge .

It's quite a coincidence that we're talking so much about "crotch pain"...mine started last weekend. It feels just like someone kicked me right between the legs! Glad to hear it's pretty normal. I assumed it was.

stina...thanks for sharing such a positive outlook on this pregancy thing  Although it's been full of all kinds of weird and often uncomfortable changes, I absolutely LOVE being pregnant. My greatest joy is feeling my baby kicking and wiggling inside of me. I have never felt so alive!!!

I had this pain too and sometimes it was very bad. But now it is gone. I think every single ligament in my body is already streched. :innocent:

Seriously, since I stopped working at 37 weeks, many aches and pains are gone and my doc commented on how much better I look.

Those are sooo cool! I wanted to get them done when I was pregnant but hubby talked me out of it.

We got a 3D/4D ultrasound session as a Christmas gift from my Mom. She's awesome

Yesterday I started getting achy upper legs, kind of like the feeling I'd get before getting a period. My mom said that happened to her soon before she went into labor. Well obviously I am still around and not in labor, but it made me excited but also very nervous!!

Tracy-very cool! :) We also kept debating whether to get the 3d/4d done but the best time for it would have been around Christmas so we decided to save the money. That's really nice you got it as a gift! One other fear I had about the 3d/4d was that the last time I had an u/s done at 25 weeks, the baby was already head down and facing my back so we couldn't see anything besides his spine, and he seems to have stayed in a similar position since then.

My sister-in-law who was due a week before me was induced yesterday and had her baby girl. Now all the pressure is on me. :innocent:

Her baby is huge, 9 pounds and it is a girl. Is it something to worry about?
