Chrissy - How awful. Feel better soon :)

I updated my signature with one of the Santa pics, a pic of Declan eating at Thanksgiving and one showing his new teeth!

Carolyn - This has been Declan's favorite toy from 4 months on. I bought it from a friend for $2, not sure if I would pay the price they are asking on Amazon, but it really has been wonderful. http://www.amazon.com/Learning-Curve-LC972...118&sr=1-33

Declan also has liked the stuffed toys that attach to the carseat .... we got the Lamaze brand too.

Baby story is on around 9-11am here at the west coast on Comcast (TLC & Discovery Health). I hate it though - they nearly always give the women a c-section for no good reason :( It makes me angry. Sometimes they have good episodes though - mostly those in NJ with the midwife and doula. I watched the programme prior to birth to learn about all the things they might want to do to me, and I was well prepared! :P I insisted on free moving around and stuff - and it worked out wonderfully.

@ Chrissy: ugh I hope you guys feel better! It always is awful to catch one of those...

Vi: A Baby Story is on between 9-10 am and 2-3 pm eastern. Bringing Home Baby is on 10-11 am and 3-4 pm eastern. I was going to go to Lamaze classes at the hospital where I will be delivering, until I was put on bedrest. The hospital doesn't charge if you are going to deliver there. If not, their price is $75 for 8 hours of classes. To be honest, I am not too worried about the classes since the babies have been in a breech and transverse position consistently for 3+ weeks. They are probably about the size now that there is not enough room with both of them in there to turn. So...a c-section looks inevitable for me.

AFM: My doctor has told me as long as the babies and myself are doing well physically, she will let me go until I go into labor naturally. So...there is really no specific time table (although they would prefer this be 34 weeks or later...basically Christmas or later). I am slowly getting to the point where life is becoming uncomfortable. The recliner is becoming a VERY good friend and a place where I can sleep when everywhere else fails.

Twila the recliner was my friend those last couple of months and I only had one in there so I can only imagine. You are being such a good sport about all these bumps in the road - just sleep as much as you can now :)

Carolyn, I know it wasnt even that long ago but I already cant remember what amirah was playing with at 4 months but I think I had her in the exersaucer at 4 or 5 months, as soon as she could hold her head well. she also loved (still does) anything with lights and music. baby einstein has a few bright colorful light and music things that she has really enjoyed.

love the new pics of Declan!

Chrissy, hope you are feeling better. and Dylan too.

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is feeling better...

how are all the preggo ladies feeling??

I am so short on sleep...Kaila is going through something..not sure she wakes up like every couple of hours...at least one time she will be wide awake and ready to play...aaahhh i need sleep!!! any tips?? i have tried to let her cry it out but she just gets more and more upset...so i take her out hold her and rub her head and she goes back to sleep but i don't want her to get used to that....

Doing good here...walking my 3 miles a day again, so that keeps me feeling tired but truly peppy (tired during/after walking, peppy the following day). Also helps to keep my feet not so swollen. I did get an awesome pedicure the other day. The lady asked me if I wanted to spend $5 extra for a special mask that they put on the feet and legs, at first I said no and then I changed my mind - boy, was it worth it. I think it pulled out a bunch of extra fluid. My feet looked like my own pre-prego!

I hope Kaila makes it through this phase real quick!

YAH for the pedicure!! I got one while I was preggo felt so GOOD!!! and my toes looked good for the dr.'s at the hospital  Walking is the best thing you can do...keeps you active and helps a lot!!!

@autumn: love the pics!! I was holding Ben on my lap while scrolling down and he started smiling when he saw Declans pictures and babbling. lol

@Chrissy: hope you feel better soon!!

@Vi: $175 is a good price for nyc. Our hospital charged $200 a person. I'm a nurse, so all we did was get a DVD to brush up on things. It's "laugh and learn about childbirth" (not really much to laugh about.... but it's good)

They told me at the hospital how to breath during contractions and it really helped. It only took 2 minutes fr the nurse to explain.

I'm totally a vocalizer. My doula told me to relax my hands, belly and shoulders during contractions and really hum through them and it helped tremendously. Not that it didn't hurt at all but had I concentrated on the pain more or held my breath it would have probably hurt even more.

Hi...

Just stopping in! I have a lot of catching up on it seems. I got home from Alabama late Saturday night. Had a great time. Kavi has a little cold though. It seems to mostly be post-nasal drip because he is hardly coughing and his nose isn't really runny, but he is a little congested and sometimes seems to gag from his mucus(sorry, kind of gross). He has his regular scheduled appt on Wednesday at least. He had gotten a fever one night, also I think because of teething. :( It was 102! And we were away, and it was the middle of the night. Thankfully within 45 mins it was down, I had given him baby tylenol.

Twila, good to read that the babies are still nicely baking! :) Prayers sent your way.

Autumnchik-Declan's surgery is soon, isn't it? Congrats on 7 months!

Kavi turned 10 months old while we were away. :help: He's becoming such a big boy.

I hope all the pregnant gals are doing well!!

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

I had an nonstress test and biophysical profile this morning. The babies are doing well and definitely have attitudes of their own. Hana is the wiggle worm and Zak likes to nap. I had to stay for 50 minutes instead of 20 because he decided he wanted to "chill". I decided to move a little to see if it would wake him up. Ha! He decided to kick me for 5 minutes nonstop. The peri was laughing. My bp was strange...154/72. He told me he thought it was good because he only worries about the lower number. He also said the babies and myself are not really presenting like I have preeclampsia, but much more like pregnancy induced hypertension. That was good to hear and hopefully means I can keep the babies cooking for a longer time. I also finally got through to the pediatricians office and am going to their OB night next week to get the babies set up!

Keeping you in my prayers. Hopefully the babies will get all the time they need (F)

I finally had my u/s today and its a boy!! :D The best part is he looks healthy (so the UTI wasn't very serious) and is very active and camera shy too coz he would keep hiding his face with his hands.... Can't wait till Daniel calls. I will also try to scan the u/s images and upload them here.
