In the very middle is a folded washcloth, then a layer of flannel that I had left from another project and up top is a receiving blanket. Here's the pattern that I used. http://mayna.livejournal.com/198548.html I didn't use elastic on this one cause I don't have any here but there will be many more diapers now.

Vi - My husband speaks only Arabic and French to Ayman and I speak only English. I've read that babies who are raised in bi/trilingual homes sometimes take a bit longer to talk, but I don't have any personal experience to go on as this is our first.

Nessa - I felt Ayman moving quite early, but my placenta was in the back. Trust me when I say it's exciting at first, but toward the end you will wish you couldn't feel anything. The bigger they get the stronger the punches and kicks become. At the end of my pregnancy Ayman would literally wake me out of my sleep kicking and poking me. It hurt like he**. I remember many nights laying on the couch just watching my stomach move from one side to the other and begging him to go to sleep. He definitely had a preference of poking his butt out on my left side and staying there. I would walk around at work with a lopsided belly.

Eveline -I don't envy you on the potty training. I am soooo not looking forward to that stage. But, its great to hear you are having success with Adam. Also, I must say Allie is a cute little chunky monkey. Cute diaper too.

Chnst - Don't feel bad, Ayman is quite lazy too. He will roll from his back to his side and sometimes to his stomach, but refuses to roll from stomach to back. He also refuses to even attempt to hold his own bottle. Although, he is trying to spoon feed himself. He's good about grabbing my hand with the spoon and shoving it in his mouth. He also loves to grab the bowl of food out of my hand and make a lovely mess. He has made no attempt at crawling either, but he loves to stand up. He will stay up on all fours if we put him that way, but won't do it on his own. He loves to bounce up and down in his exersaucer. Sometimes he gets going so hard that I think he's going to bounce right out of it. We just started using the walker this past weekend and he loves it. His favorite thing is the computer though. He LOVES to pound away on the keyboard and look at pictures. If he sees the laptop open he will break his neck trying to get to it.

Kelly - Boy Zaid's got some hair and eyebrows...lol. He is sooooo cute! Ayman looks like an albino compared to him.

Yay for clothies. The community here in the US is quite big...everybody is trying to go green. I must say I do use disposables but I'm trying to cut it down to one a day (the night diaper). My mom got me started when she brought a bunch of diapers from Germany (the flat ones).

Karima: We haven't really started potty training. I'm trying to get Adam interested in the potty and whenever he wants to go or whenever he's ready I'll be ready too. I'm not gonna push him. We'll see how he does this afternoon.

Hi everyone :D

Quick question: How early did you get symptoms that you were pregnant? Did you have any signs before you missed your period? Just trying to get some ideas as I haven't been feeling real well and have some signs but I still have 12 days before my period is due...I didn't think there could/would be signs that early on so I am thinking it might be something else. Ugh I am just nervous/anxious/confused :help:

I didn't have any signs, i just thought I could be after 1 day missed period because my period had been constantly 30 days.

good luck.

Mommies, i had my u/s today and everything looks great. the baby is measuring 20.2 weeks, i believe i'm 20.4 weeks and he's 12 oz, which seems to be a good weight for his age. Nothing unusual was found, the heart, etc, all fine. I could see his feet, hands, fingers, looks like he isn't missing any :P

I had signs VERY early. I was nauseous (sp), had heartburn, and lightheaded about 2 weeks before I could take a home pregnancy test. Then a week before I took the test my breasts got so sore I wanted to cry. At first I thought it was all in my head, but I got a faint positive 5 days before I missed my period. Having all those symptoms early should have been my first clue I was pregnant with twins. So...it is possible to have symptoms early! You'll have to update us later and let us know if it comes true!

Me on pins and needles for Chrissy...I can't wait to hear what it will be....sooo excited.

@Nessa: Your US sounds good to me. Allie was 11oz at 20 weeks, so your little one is right on I guess.

@Yaads: I didn't have any signs except for terrible tiredness and my legs hurt like crazy. I had that in both pregnancies.
