@ Karima - We haven't bought anything yet, but have began browsing. I agree, there are so many toys out there. We plan on buying Declan some books. He really likes board books, so I will get more of those and touch and feel books. Not sure about toys yet. It'll be interesting to hear what others like for their babies.

@ Sheherazade - I agree with the others, Boppys are great. My mom bought Declan a play gym and he absolutely loved it and still does. I consider that one of the best gifts I ever got ... I was given Aveeno baby shampoo as a gift and really like it. And definitely take care of mom too, something to pamper herself would be wonderful.

Carrie, we got zaid a bunch of toys the day after thanksgiving. Stacking blocks, and mega blocks, we got this cookie jar that talks and you fill it with shapes that have numbers on them etc, we got him a push/riding toy, alot of vtech learning toys (books that sing songs, the caterpillar toy that sings abc, numbers, etc) and so much more...Kohls had all fisher price toys 50% off so i went a lil nuts.

We do have a walker for him...Its Kolcraft brand and is sesame street theme. He loves it and strolls ALL over the house, he can now even manipulate corners and tight spots to get into places he isnt suppose to...We have had him in it for about 2 months already.. Its funny though bc my nephew who is 6 weeks older than zaid got in the walker the other day and had NO IDEA what to do..I too realize that if i hold zaids hands he knows how to put one foot in front of the other as if he is walking so i hope it is helping in some ways...

zaid is *almost* crawling, up on all 4's and then takes a nose dive forward...I swear im not ready for this...

that totally can be your baby! its the flutters, the feelings of gas that are actually your little one, and the sensation of bubbles popping in your belly, and your not crazy!

@Zaidsmommy: oh wow, he'll probably be walking by 9 months! Ben is too lazy to move at all! He managed to roll himself over today and was totally surprised at himself. But there's no way he'll be crawling anytime soon.

@Nessa: that's your baby kicking!

@Nessa: Considering that your intestines are wandering upward as your baby gets smaller and you still feel 'bubbles' then I'd say THAT IS YOUR BABY...definetely.

Adam just peed in his potty. He was dancing around, crossing his legs etc. and I grabbed him and put him on the potty. He wanted to get off but I talked to him and a second later...tadaaaaaaaaa...pee...yey....

Hi Girls!!!

My belly is finally popping out, is so funny before I was complaining that I didn't have a belly and now I have people asking me if I'm pregnant. It's so weird it just happened in no time. My back is hurting too, I'm joining the club, I need serious massage later. :crying: .

I saw some friends on the weekend and they told me that I should start with my baby register, isn't too early? I'm almost 5 months (on Sunday) and you think that Babies R Us is definitely the best baby store?> any advice? I have been to the store a couple of times and absolutely love it :star: .

Nessa: Your little boy is moving!!!! awesome right? Good luck on your appointment, keep us posted! and do you still going to the gym??? my gym clothes don't fit me anymore they are too tigh :crying:

To all the mommies: How are your doing with the language? do you speak just english to your babies ?

Good night girls!

yay for moving!!

@mazzella: I'll try to talk to the baby only in portuguese, after he's born. That way he'll learn portuguese. Then I plan on buying some english-portuguese books, so he camn learn proper spelling and all.

Show us belly pictures!!

I haven't been to any store so far, but you should do it at babies r us, it's pretty complete.

oh, and i haven't started the registering yet because i'll have the baby shower in february, too early, plus i don't know exactly what to register, it's not like I have friends here, it'll be just a few co-workers probably invited and a couple of friends.

@Nessa...ummm I meant "as your baby is getting BIGGER" of course. I wrote "as it is getting SMALLER" silly me... Serious nursing-brain

@Vi: I'm speaking German only two Adam and Allie. I started right after Adam was born and now he's starting to say the first words in both languages. Like 'egg' in German is "Ei" (pronounced almost like 'eye") and Adam sat at the table the other day pointing to his eye...saying "EYE" and later that day he got an egg shell out of the trash and said "Ei". So I supposed he is getting the language difference. He understands his granny and me the same. I'm amazed by how fast he picks it up.

@Vi: I had my Baby Registry with Babies R Us. Register at the store and you will receive a gift. Oh and here's a good tip- tell them you're due about a month before your actual due date- you will get a 10% off coupon on everything remaining in your registry after the due date. ;)

I'm also a big fan of Pottery Barn Kids and Buy Buy Baby. It depends on how close the store is to the people who will attend your baby shower. It can never be too early to register.

Vi, I would definitly register at babies r us...I compared all the "baby equipment" at all the stores and babies r us seemed to be the best cost wise and product wise...

Nessa, HOW EXCITING to feel the lil guy movin. I hope you get some great pictures tomorrow at the ultrasound.

Eveline, Its good to hear Adam is becoming such a big boy. going Pee Pee on the potty is a big step, I know alot of boys dont do it til their 3's so seems like adam is the over achiever!!

Chnst, Bens lazy?? lmfao...Do you have a walker or exersaucer? Walkers are not expensive and was seriously my best buy. It god zaids legs going and has become a great "babysitter" when I have things to do. The floor toys were not enough at some point, he wanted to be able to see the world and the walker let him do just that. And quite honestly, I would be completely okay if Zaid was just rolling over at this age, as much as i like to see zaid develop, he is all over the place now and sometimes I wish I could go back to when he was a "baby baby"

Well, I'm hoping that after the success this evening he'll want to go more often. I have him run around diaperless most of the time when we're in the house but he also pees a lot on the floor. The other day, he pooped in front of his toy chest....yikes.

I made a diaper for Allie today: http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x244/Ev...ly/DSC05053.jpg I'm all proud of myself for being so crafty lately, haha.

Allie weighs 16lbs even...she's getting big.
