My biggest craving all pregnancy has been fresh fruit...especially apples with caramel dipping sauce. It has become the running joke at my work. I had a time in the beginning where milkshakes were great. Then about 12 weeks a Chik-Fil-A chicken sandwich was all I wanted. Those passed. The fruit has been here all along. My friends tell me I should name my daughter Apple. hehehehe

I am glad almost all of you have had a happy Thanksgiving. I am jealous of those who could go out shopping. I get a reprieve from "jail" tomorrow to go to the doctor's office. I have never been so happy about an appointment!

Yay to the mommies to be :)

(F) for Twila.

Declan is feeling a bit better, but still not 100 %. I think I am getting sick now :( I am dosing myself with lotsa vitamin C and zinc in hopes of preventing this.

Happy (late) Bday Zaid!

It is so funny how babies are doing different things at around the same age. Declan is rolling over all the time and trying to crawl, but has yet to say mama or dada. He likes to say, hiiiiiiii :) And he giggles all the time.

Twila hang in there!! wow I cant beleive you are 30 weeks, it wont be long now.

Amirah is going for her one year shots and checkup today. yikes. But I am curious what the doc will say about her size, she's really small and I think she has gained less than a pound in the last 3 months. Maybe I am just comparing her too much to my son who was a giant like some of the boys around here :)

Nessa relax. I'm sure your little baby is doing just fine. Ask where your placenta is located cause I think it might be toward your belly so you cannot feel him kick since he's kicking the placenta which doesn't have nerves to tell you that he is kicking (was that too complicated???? :))

@Twila: Hang in there. Bedrest must be terrible...I wouldn't want to do it. Wishing you all the best.

@Zaid: Poor little thing. I hope he'll be up and 'running' soon again.

Hi ladies. I'm not a mama but a close friend is having a baby soon and I want to find her a bunch of really awesome and handy gifts. Can you new mamas suggest to me some things that have really been of help for you during the first year of your newborn's life? I don't want to get the typical gift of onesie's because I know she'll be getting plenty of those from other people. I was thinking a baby sling so she could carry him/her around with her but not sure what other things? I'm interested in spending a total of probably $200-250 total.

Also what about natural/organic baby products? Shampoos, lotions, diaper rash cream? Are there any brands you highly recommend? Its all so new to me and I want to make sure she has great stuff!

Thanks in advance if any of you can help.

Nessa, dont worry when i was pregnant with Dylan i didnt feel him kick till around 21 weeks, with this little one i felt it around 14 weeks! Your body is much more sensitive to all the little things the second time around.

Just got back from the docs, since i last saw him 3 and 1/2 weeks ago i havent gained any weight, thank goodness! my total weight gain at 16 and a 1/2 weeks is eight pounds, when i was pregnant with Dylan i think i doubled that at this point!
