Hi everyone,

I got a question reguarding my mucus plug. I'm just about ready to have my 2nd boy but I'm not sure if I've been losing my mucus plug for the last few days. I thought I would have remembered about all this seeing that my 1st born is only 5, but I can't remember lol. I went for my 38 week check-up on Wednesday and I was already 2.5 cm dialiated. Later that evening I started getting a discharge. It was kinda reddish/brownish. I been looking in the toilet everytime I go to see if theres anything in there and theres not. I been having braxton hicks for weeks and the past 2 weeks I been having a lot of pressure. My doctor said it could be any day now. I just wanted to know if some people have lost a solid mucus plug, or if it was like a heavy discharge over the course of days. Any help would be appreciated.

Mary

I have lost some mucousy discharge (but clear, no blood) over WEEKS. it started at 37 weeks and at 41 weeks I was still pregnant. The fact that it is bloody might indicate that your cervix is dilating and effacing though. good luck.

Hi all--it's been a while since I've posted--being back at work means little time on the computer!

twila--hang in there, chica! Just a few more weeks and those little sweeties will be in your arms! Let everyone do things for you and try to take it easy! Best of luck!

Vi--congrats on the baby girl! How exciting!

About the nursery: we have all the stuff to make a wonderful space for our son, but we still haven't assembled it! Instead, the baby room is a spare bedroom and my husband and I use it as our cozy retreat (Ilyas still sleeps in a co-sleeper in our room and goes to bed early). The crazy thing is that for the first part of the night Ilyas often sleeps alone in our big bedroom while his papa and I fall asleep in the baby's tiny room...

Amigas / Girls!!!!!

Thank you very much for your good wishes, yes we are very very very and can't wait to start buying pink for our little Princess. It will sound crazy but before the appointment in the middle of the night I heard the voice of a littel girl calling my name, it woke me up and she called me again, I told hubby and said that maybe was a sign.

Well, time to go to sleep, we are super tired, my best friend s visiting us from Peru and we have being walking aroun Manahattan the last few days.

Have a good night!

Hugs

Aaaww, I had goosebumps reading that. It must have been a sign.

I can't wait to move into our new house (we bought a house, did I tell you that?) and start decorating the bedrooms. I'm all excited.

Hey guys,

sorry I have been away for a while now. Our baby boy Quentis made his appearance pretty much unexpected about a week early. He was born on October 19 at 3.38pm and weighed 6 lbs and 4 ounces and measured 19.5 inches.

He is a very healthy and strong boy and our pride and joy!

Everything went well, I didn't get the epidural but geez, it was tough! I had no idea it would be THAT painful and uncomfortable..lol

Anyway, here's a pic from his second day:

Well, that is just one story, the really scary one was told by my sister in law, she believes in those things and to be honest me too.

Last she came to visit me with her family and we had a great time, end fo the story, well, when we gave her the good news she told me that she knew that I was going to get pregnant and she said to me : IT'S GOING TO BE A GIRL, MARK MY WORDS. I asked her why? she said that the day when she came to visit me she saw a girl standing behind one of my couches on the living room just looking at my niece and nephews playing. She told the story to my MIL and her hubby but never told it to me until that day.

Isn't that scary??? And if yo want more stories just ask, I have a few...

Eveline, congrats on the new house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nane1104 : Beautiful baby!!! Congrats!

@Nane: Congratulations on your babyboy. I have been thinking about you lately, wondering how you were doing. you did it girl. congrats.

@Vi: That is scary. I'm not a big believer in 'signs' but I sure do like the stories. It would freak me out though to be seeing a girl standing behind my couch...

Thank you for the congratulations. Our 1300 sft 'room' was too small from the beginning and with another baby (meaning Allie) it is just waaay to small for us and it gets cluttered a lot.

@ Nane - What a cutie!!! Congrats :)

@ Eveline - Awesome about the house. You'll have to post pics after you get the bedrooms done. Is it a 1 story or a 2 story house? We have a 2 story house. Some days, I REALLY wish everything was on 1 level (becuase I am notorious for forgetting things that I need on whichever floor I am NOT on). Honestly, though, all the running up and down stairs has probably been good for getting rid of the baby weight though!
