what color are u decorating the nursery? the furniture. i'm between white, black or cherry. someone said white is not good for boys, but i don't see a problem as long as the bedding and decor is boyish.

I don't think your babyboy will care what color the crib or furniture is. I personally like the warm colors and we picked everything in a somewhat caramel color. It doesn't even all match, since we have the crib from TARGET, changing table from Walgreens and the glider from Walmart. I like white too..it's so neutral and if you want to paint it you can still do that.

Twila - How scary. I'm glad the babies are okay. Keeping you in my thoughts :)

Nessa - I think any of those colors would be fine. Which one do you like the best? My personal preference would be cherry, just cuz I really like that type of wood. What color is the room?

Well...I am home today. I got sent to labor and delivery at the hospital yesterday for monitoring and tests. My blood pressure is creeping up and my OB wanted me to get a million and one blood tests, a NST, and biophysical profile. It is just weird to be in the hospital when you feel ok. The peri came and visited me as well. Basically, he told me it looks like I am at the beginning of developing preeclampsia. My bloodwork came back ok. Thankfully the nurse called my OB and asked if I could go home rather than staying the night because all I had to do was a 24 hour urine collection and rest. So...as long as I can stay well, the babies will stay inside cooking. If my bloodwork gets strange or my bp skyrockets, the babies will be delivered. Yikes!

At least with the biophysical profile, I got to see Hana and Zakaria. Hana is lounging around transverse and Zak is breech. Zak had both of his hands up in fists (probably a protective stance against his sister). Both were wiggling around like crazy. (It was funny because one of them kept punching or kicking the external monitor during the NST.) Even though they are just 28 weeks, both were already practicing breathing. So...they are doing good and got the highest score on the BPP.

Twila

TAKE IT EASY!!!! I had pre eclampsia and I had to do 2 24hr urine collections and blood work and yadda yadda yadda....best advice get a bp cuff and monitor it!!! Just to make sure it doesn't get really high because then other things can start...and we don't want that to happen!! If you can lay on your side i think left is the best...just take it easy to the babies can cook a little bit longer!

@ Twila: I hope you don't have to deliver too soon.... As long as the BP stays within acceptable ranges and you don't spill protein and your liver enzymes are fine, there is no need for an early delivery... The longer the little ones can stay the better for them! I had a slightly elevated BP (which I attribute to my annoying obgyn, cause at home it was always fine) and he wanted to bully me into an induction which wasn't necessary and didn't happen... Good luck and keep us posted!

@ Evi: I kinda thought the two look alike... The picture is adorable :) I can't imagine yet having two! Jona is keeping me sleepless all the time :P I hope Allie will feel better soon...

My little one HATES the #######-sucker-thingie. I've given up; he just sneezes them out now. It works just fine actually. He developed some cradle cap which is falling off now (like dandruff everywhere)... He also is getting taller. I can't really measure him here at home, but the 3-6 months stuff is getting too snug, and 6-9 months fits just right. All the clothes are too wide though... Dunno, but it seems they are made for really fat, short babies (and mine is already really chunky!!!)? Only Carter's is on track, he's wearing size 3-6 months and it even is a little large. I swear by that brand now, as it also doesn't die in the washer like others!

i have found carters the only one really true to size...even a little bit bigger.....

I'm cheap and I lOOOOVE garanimals at Walmart. My babies are both not very long but stocky and garanimals has the wider onesies, they fit us perfectly.

@Twila. Keeping my fingers crossed that you won't get any preeclampsia. Your babies have to cook just a couple more weeks. All the best.

twila, hoping everything pans out okay....those babies need a few more weeks :)

We did Natural Oak for zaids nursery. I was trying to be frugal and i also loved the crib so we got things to match that. We did the Zanzibar theme. You can google it, its very cute and unisex. For the travel system, pack and play, high chair, etc, we did green.

Well after 40 long minutes she wrote the sex on a piece of paper and put it on my handbag and when I got to my house Hubby was waiting for me, he was super nervous.... we opened and the paper said : GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

@mazela: yay!! congrats!. it is an amazing feeling, isn't it? how does your hubby feel about a girl?

Nessa - I think any of those colors would be fine. Which one do you like the best? My personal preference would be cherry, just cuz I really like that type of wood. What color is the room?

i lik the 3 of them. i like dark wood, but my problem with it would be that everything i bought like the crib, changing table/dresser, etc, wopuld have all to be the same brand, same colection, and maybe that won't be afordable to me. Different kinds of wood together drives me crazy, I like only very dark. And the closet and the door is a medium kind of wood that i already dislike the color.

as for black and white, I could stick with a color and maybe it would be cheaper, cuz I could buy in different places or different collections, as long as they were the same color, which would be easier to find.

the roo has no color yet. it's a computer room now. all the furniture here will be gone and it's a white wall that I'll be painting (still havne't chose the color yet) and thw wwoods on the door, the closet and the windows.

We went with white furniture. I really like it because we painted the walls a slightly darker shade of green and it really pops and looks clean and crisp.

We also needed two cribs and I found this set for a really affordable price. (And my parents bought all the pieces for us!) I will post pics soon...I promise!

AFM: I am already tired of lounging around. Hopefully, my bp will be better on Monday when I go back to my ob for a bp check. I also go to the peri's that afternoon for a nonstress test of double trouble.

Congrats Vi on the baby girl!
