Nessa, from the last pics you posted you'd only be chubby in an alternate reality. You look pregnant, and you look like a thin person who got pregnant and still looks thin.

Lanky is that tall and skinny look, maybe like a ruler? Most people don't like being called lanky if they are, lol.

For the moms who breastfed/feed...

My girlfriend has a 2 week old and is solely breastfeeding. For the past 2 days she is noticing the baby spitting up alot more. She is feeding on one breast for 10-15 minutes, burping her, then going to the next breast. Any advice???

well in my appointment today it showed i put up 20 lbs. i doubt anypne would wish to put up that much in 17 weeks.

My girlfriend has a 2 week old and is solely breastfeeding. For the past 2 days she is noticing the baby spitting up alot more. She is feeding on one breast for 10-15 minutes, burping her, then going to the next breast. Any advice???

Feed baby in an upright position. It might take some contorting from moms side but it is possible. Put baby on in a cradle hold and then kinda turn to the side to where baby's feet point and have it sit up eventually. I would also feed longer on one side. I only feed one side at a time, even if it takes 20+ Minutes. Also, make sure baby doesn't 'click' while sucking. If she hears a clicking sound it means that baby is not latched right and might be taking in too much air. www.kellymom.com is a good site. Here's something on spitting up. how do I know how many clothes should I buy newborn size? and should i also start buying other sizes or sghould i go buying clothes as he grows?

depending on the time of the year when baby is born I'd buy like 6 long sleeved onesies and some pants or those bodysuit type onesies and maybe one or two dress up outfits in newborn. Adam (8lbs 14oz at birth) didn't fit in his NB clothes two weeks after birth. He grew so fast that he was in 9 month clothes at 4 months or so...it was ridiculous. Get some clothes in 0-3 months, they'll be big first but baby will definetely grow into them fast.

AUTUMN, Yea now I remember what it was. Im sure Declan will do fine at his checkup! My boss' son had some gap in his stomach that was getting bigger. I guess he says its common in 1:200 newborn boys. I actually know a few friends who had it. The baby just couldnt digest food. They closed the gap and now the baby is doing much better.

Zaid had his 6 month well exam on saturday and received 4 vaccines. He had no reaction and is doing just fine. He is 29inches and 19lbs. My baby is getting so big

I know what you mean. Jay is getting really big too. She went today for her 6 month check up. She is 17lbs and 27 inches.

I just gained 6 pounds in total, all the weight is on my chest and belly. My face and the rest of the body still look thin-skinny, you know what I mean (or should I say slender?). My Ob/gyn told me that I should gain around 20-25 pounds in total by the end of my pregancy and I'm ready! I got so excited last Saturday when they told me that I'm finally gaining weight.

Lots of weight gain will probably happen during the last trimester. From week 38 on I gained a pound a week. With Adam I gained a good 50lbs and with Allie only 30lbs (but those are now stuck to me )

well kaila has a wonderful cold...up every half hour...not sure how i got through the day...

yesterday took her to see the skin person...they agree it is excama however you spell it....but they are going to be very agressive with it...i have new lotions and she has to take a 20 min bath everyday....fun times...

question....i didn't ask the dr....but what do you all think about taking her swimming??? think that will make it worse?? i am not sure what i want to do....i want to get her used to the water but at the same time not sure if it will hurt or help the skin....any thoughts?
