haha Ben was 20lbs 2oz and 28inches at his 6month "birthday".

@autumn: don't worry, Ben can't sit up by himself yet, but he says "mama and Dada" on command and gives kisses. I guess every baby has his own schedule for his development. Or I might just have a lazy boy. He doesn't even roll around much!

@Eveline: oh no, both babies sick? You poor thing. I hope that the antibiotics will clear it up for Adam, tell him to stay away from the cute girls in kindergarten.

we are all packed up for our first trip to Germany with Ben. soooo exited. I hope the flight will go well. Knock on wood, he's doing great, I was worried that he would catch a cold or something.

@everybody: when is it too late to start decorating the baby room? I'm thinking 2 months before the due date. Is it too late? I know I'll be huge by then nd there'll be a lot to do.

@mazzella: that's so cute of you to wait and share with your husband the gender. Have you thought about having him on his cell phone while you're at the appointment?

nessa ... you up to all these tests and other things?

or just wanna be pregnant, have a baby, and have good life?

all the best form here :luv:

if you read my previous posts I mentioned I won't have any unecessary tests. I'm having the fetal anatomy u/s in 3 weeks for development, etc. and then I don't know what else is coming, it's my first pregnancy.

We are going to start with the nursery two months before the baby arrives, not to soon.

I thought about having him on line when they give me the results but honestly I want to see his face I'm sure is going to be a priceless moment plus I want to make a video too so my family can se it on my facebook..

Nessa, are you feeling the baby moving already?? our little one just started to move.

Good night

Vi

Nessa, I didnt feel zaid "kick" until 24 weeks. Dont feel bad. First you will feel little flutters and a few weeks later the kicks come

Chnst, sounds like ben and zaid are growing at the same right. Zaid was about 20lbs and 29 inches at his 6 month checkup..All these big boys!! Zaid is too starting to learn kisses. He babbles about every word in the book but wont EVER do it when i want him to. Good luck on your trip to germany! when will you be leaving?

Eveline, Adam is ADORABLE! What a cute lil baby he was! I bet hes quite the handful these days!! Thats good allie is wearing newborn clothing. Zaid never ever got to.

Vi, thats so sweet to wait for the hubster. Im sure he really appreciates it.

So zaid is EXTREMELY crabby today. Im wondering if the flu shot is making him feel crummy or something. I have been thinking the past month that he would have some teeth coming in but NOTHING yet. Hes rounding 6.5 months. Doc said anywhere from 5 months to 9 months is common so hopefully they come a lil sooner than later. I caught him opening the kitchen cabinet earlier and trying to chew ont he corner of it :)

I feel the baby kick like crazy. Yesterday I was watching tv and all of a sudden he started kicking and I could see my belly move! :)

I first stated feeling some flutters when I was 15 weeks or so. Yesterday the gyn told me that because of my body-type I feel things faster and harder. He also told me that because of my body-type I will most likely go through labor and delivery like it is nothing.

It depends on where your placenta is located to feel the baby move. Your uterus doesn't feel kicks, it's the organs around it that make you feel the baby kick. With Adam I didn't really feel him until 23 weeks and you didn't see or feel anything from outside another three weeks. My placenta was anterior (up front). With Allie I felt her at 16 weeks and you saw her move at 19 weeks, my placenta then was posterior (in the back). Sometimes it's the positioning of the baby that doesn't let you feel it. If the feet and hands are pointing towards the back you'll have a hard time feel it. Maybe you are already experiencing some flutters but mistake them for gas or something. It will come and in the end you wished baby would have never started because it hurts having a heel in your ribs repeatedly

@Zaidsmommy: Yes Adam is a handful. He painted yesterday...look at that mess: http://s181.photobucket.com/albums/x244/Ev...nt=MOV05002.flv He still is pretty well behaved for a 20 months old, I'm glad.

Hi everyone...

Autumn, a lot of similarities still between Kavi and Declan weight and length wise at similar months.

As for other things, all babies are different like others said. Kavi was still very wobbly as a sitter at 6 months, but by 7 months had mastered it and by 8 months was crawling. But he still doesn't say mamama, he sometimes says dadada, zazaza, sasasa, lalal, vavava...he's funny with what he picked. I wonder if hearing 2 languages in our house has anything to do with it. He is a quiet baby too, doesn't make much ruckus.

Kavi hasn't had a pediatric appt since 6 months old, I postponed the 9 month visit since we are in that insurance gap, he'll be a little over 10 months old at the next appt. It doesn't matter because he doesn't get any shots at this appt. Right now I think he is about 20lbs at 9 months old, maybe 21lbs. He doesn't seem thin to me, just normal weight. We haven't had him weighed on a baby scale though, only have stood him up on our home scale, LOL. Not entirely accurate.

One thing I do know, it's about time for the next car seat!! We still use the infant one.

Nessa-I wasn't sure that I was feeling the baby until 20 weeks and it was a couple weeks later I felt the bigger bumping feelings. :) I loved it!! I found out the gender at 20 weeks, and during that ultrasound I realized movements I saw I could feel a little. It helped me tune in better.

I am sure I missed a lot...sorry! :(

slender means thin

i know that. but that's not a body type. body type has to do with structure, not weight or height. I've heard about body types like spoon, ruler, etc, not a fat or thin body type, there's no such thing.

LOL, ok. Well I never have heard the spoon thing. But people do use those terms to describe body type...slender, bulky, chubby, lanky, etc. They may not be the best to use but people use them.
