I had a question---

Is anyone else's baby shy around strangers or people they don't see often? Kavi won't smile much around new people, and it takes awhile for him to finally smile. He just studies them. At home with us and very familiar people, he always smiles and laughs. But always around newer people, he won't smile for the longest time and then I feel bad like they think he isn't a happy baby. lol. As soon as they leave he starts smiling again!!

Drew is exactly the same. I tell everyone what a happy, funny baby he is, then they meet him, and he just stares at them so seriously. He's not very happy around people he doesn't know. I think that's ok, though!

do every women's belly button stick out at a certain point? if so, when does it start?

is it normal for your belly hair to grow? like from my belly button up to my boobs, a line of hair that wasnt there before.

My little guy just had his 2 month check-up yesterday...

The good news: he is growing wonderfully! He is now 10 pounds, 10 ounces, 22 1/2 inches long and his head is 15 3/8 inches! Ok, that probably sounds miniscule to many of you with bigger babies, but Ilyas used to be such a little peanut (6 pounds, 8 oz. at birth). The appointment was very reassuring and Ilyas was so cute--he was just talking away to the doctor ...

Now the not-so-great: he was miserable after his 4 shots + 1 oral vaccine. He had a slight fever and was wimpering/crying/fussing most of the night. Consequently I'm super tired today and he is napping away (I wish I could nap so peacefully).

Has anyone done an alternative vaccine schedule? I am not someone who would decline getting my child immunized, but it somehow seems like cruel and unusual punishment to give so many shots at one time in such a tiny body. Then again, would it be worse to spread out the vaccines? I wonder if his reactions would be minimal if he only had 2 shots or so at a time...I think I'm going to buy the Dr. Sears Vaccine book...

We spread out the first set. She got a couple at 2 months and the other two at 3 months. She was crabby and miserable both times. At 4 months she got them all and was miserable for 3 days.

is it normal for your belly hair to grow? like from my belly button up to my boobs, a line of hair that wasnt there before.

My belly button stuck out just a little around 7 months but nothing to dramatic. I never had a line of hair grow on my belly.

While pregnant I kept waiting for my belly button to stick out, but it never did. It just became a flat horizontal slit...

I did get extra hair on my belly but no linea negra...

My belly button stuck out at 8.5 months but everyone is different. Also, I never got that dark line of hair but my sis in law did. I know there is an olds wives tale about it being related to the gender of the baby...Myabe ill look into that..

My belly button started sticking out early this month (8th month), and I never got the dark line either... just more light hair everywhere at first, then it went away.

I'm just a week behind you and I got the "linea negra" the dark line already, it looks weird but is normal. They told me that after I give birth It will dissapear.

A question for the mommies" WHEN DID YOU FIND OUT THE SEX OF THE BABY???

Nessa, my belly button never stuck out. I got a little more hair from my belly button down but it was very fine.

Vi - I was so excited to find out the sex of the baby and he didn't cooperate at the 18 week ultrasound. I had another ultrasound at 32 weeks and found out then.

Zaid flipped his "Wee wee" straight to the ultrasound tech at 20 weeks. There was no denying it and we have quite a few pictures of his "business"

funny story, my boss went for her 20 week ultrasound last week and they couldnt determine the sex, baby wouldnt cooperate. So my boss decided to go to one of those 4d ultrasound places that makes a movie of the baby and dadadadada...well anyways, i called the place for her to get details and they rambled off a bunch of packages. They said that for gender only and it was 100% guaranteed that they could determine the gender it was 99$ ...nevertheless my boss went and laid on the table for an hour as the tech tried to find the babies business, and never could. What a stubborn child. They asked her to come back on Halloweeen so hopefully she can find out then.

I am sooo frustrated! I ended up ordering the Baby Einstein stationary entertainer from Amazon.com (shipped by Target). It came yesterday and hubby and I were so excited to set it up and put Declan in it. Well, one of the legs is damaged, the mechanism to lock it in place doesn't work. So, first I called Amazon to see about getting a replacement part. To me, it makes no sense to ship this big thing back when all I need is a small part. Amazon told me to call Target. Called Target and was transferred from one department to another, who then told me I needed to speak to the first department. Finally was directed back to Amazon again. Amazon told me that they could not provide a replacement part because it is not their item (which makes sense to me) and I would have to ship the item back and then reorder it. I decided to hold off and just call Graco myself. Well, they were closed last night and today there is a message saying they are experiencing extremely high call volumes and to call back at another time. ARGH!!! I just want this fixed so Declan can play in it

i started tio go to that website when i got pregnant, but all the m/c talk was driving me crazy. now that i'm on the second trimester i'm thinking of going back.

About the sex of the baby, i'll have my u/s at 20 weeks (that's when my insurance will pay for), but since I don't wanna wait that long, i scheduled one for week 16 that the insurance won't cover so i'll have to pay, so 2 more weeks, if I can find out yay, if not, oh well.

My baby's hb today was 156bpm and I gained 12 lbs in 4 weeks, fun fun fun. I was doing the math, if i gain 12 lbs every month i'll be around 218 lbs by the end of the pregnancy.

I found out at 16 weeks for one twin (the boy) there was no denying it. But for our girl, we waited to confirm it was a girl by my 20th week. They assumed she was but it was a "just in case".

I did the 4D ultrasound for fun! It was amazing!!! We compared the faces of the babies in the Ultrasound pics to their newborn, OMG exact replicas!! So amazing the detail!!

My belly button never stuck out, though I fully expected it would. Never got the dark line, either.

We found out the sex of our baby at nearly 20 weeks. It was one of the most awesome days of my life!
