Good morning ladies! I love all the new pics! I wish I could post some--my girl cat ate my camera USB cable (can I pull out her teeth? She is a electronic cord fanatic! ).

When do babies start liking toys? At 2 months Ilyas loves people--he will talk up a storm--oohs and aahs and goos--even an occasional squeal, but he could care less about toys. He is peacefully sleeping right now in his swing (L) ...

I have heard great things about the Einstein exersaucer...

I love all the new cute pics of babies here!!!

Hope Jaylyn feels better soon.

@ Chnst - I just ordered the exersaucer last night (I had a gift certificate from Amazon so I used that). We ended up going with the Baby Einstein one because it goes up to 32 inches tall where all the other ones go up to 30 inches only. Since Declan is tall, we figured we would get more use out of it. The only drawback I see is that it does not bounce, it only rocks and swivels. But I figure he can use the one at daycare that bounces. I know that the Rainforest Jumparoo goes up to 32 inches also (if you want a jumper). And I believe that some of the exersaucers do fold up for travel.

Ayman has the 3 in 1 ExerSaucer and he loves it. It's a little more expensive than the others, but it turns into a workstation once they are standing up on their own. My parents bought the Baby Einstein jumper for their house and he liked it for all of 2 minutes and then screamed. It was just too boring for him. He will now let you know when he wants to play by staring it down and blabbing until you put him in it.

I went to Babies R Us last night and OMG the baby Einstein Entertainer is $120!! We still have gift certificates from the Baby Shower, but that is outrageous for something he will only have for a few weeks/months. I checked out the second hand shop and there was one but it looked really dirty and smelled like attic. They were still asking $40 for it! I don't get it, why are these things so expensive? It's just plastic!

Also, the pack n'play we bought in May (we spent $100), they are asking $120 for it now! Looks like prices went up on everything! I bought diapers, wipes, boppy pillow cover and a new nose sucker and paid $80. Oh well.

So I "upgraded" his Rocking Chair today with some puppets and teethers and little hanging toys and he loves it.

Ben is almost sitting now and he started to scoot around now! He hasn't figured out yet how to coordinate his arm and legs but it's so cute to watch him try to get moving!

happy 6 months Kaila! I can't believe how time flies!

ayah's 4 1/2 months, and just now starting to be interested in really simple, basic toys. she likes her rattles, and rolling around on the floor with stuffed animals. i bought a bunch of soap at bath and body works the other day, and they gave me this super soft, squishy stuffed baby lamb as a gift, that i gave to ayah and she LOVES it. other toys don't really hold her interest yet though. she would rather stare at faces and listen to people talk, esp. her older brother.

this is her favorite rattle.

it's squishy and soft, so she can't bonk herself on the head and get hurt, but loud enough to be interesting.

Thanks Shauna. Her chest X-ray came out find. I just hate holding the poor little mask to her face. Hopefully I can stop next week when we visit the doctor. The old babysitter said she already has a 3 month baby to replace Jaylyn. So I don't feel so bad. I actually am loving that she is watched by her aunt. Her aunt is writing down everyday a list of what she has done. Like 10:30 ate 4 oz formula 11:00 changed wet diaper 11:30 tummy time and so on. Then Jaylyn gets to play with her cousin everyday.

I know what you are talking about Halloween outfits. We bought a pumpkin out fit and will take a picture next to a pumpkin to put in her baby book. I don't wish she was that young though because she sleeps now 10 hours a night. How is school going? Do you have mid terms soon?

Thanks for bringing up saucers and jumperoo's I went out with one of my coworkers and said I was going to go get them and she said wait I have 2 of each in my basement that you can have. She had twins so she has doubles of everything so I am so excited. Even though they will take up a lot of space in the house. We just got rid of the coffee table.

The physical thearpist came and examined Jaylyn and she says she is just fine and at normal development. The speech thearpist is suppose to come soon and check out what the doctor thinks is a tongue problem. We are so releaved.

Carolyn - Jaylyn started to really play with toys at 5 months. She is getting tired of her bounce chair but still loves to fall asleep in her swing. She like her rain forest gym too but now instead of swatting at the toys like she did at 4 months she likes to look in the mirror and spin the ball.

Have a good rest of the weekend everyone. I am off to bed we have to get up early for Bear's football.

@ Chsnt - Wow, $120 seems really high for the entertainer. It was $80 on Amazon.com. If I didn't have a gift certificate for Amazon, I don't know if I would have gotten it.

Declan seems to have grown a bunch in the last 3 days. Pajamas that fit him 3 days ago are now too short. Tonight, I couldn't find any clean ones that fit, so I finally put him in pajamas for 12 months old, expecting them to be huge ... and actually they are not that big at all!

@ Belwin - Glad everything came out okay with the chest xray/

for the past few weeks Amirah has become very aware and interested in other babies. When I feed her baby food she makes me move my hands around so she can inspect the label for a picture of a baby, especially that stonyfield farm organic baby yogurt because it has a realy good pic. so a couple of days ago my girlfriend wanted to bring over amirahs birthday present because she couldnt wait :) she brought a really cute musical walker and as a side note a little bean bag-gy baby doll she just grabbed on her way out of the store. OMG Amirah is so in love with the baby. its the cutest thing ever. she hugs and kisses it and talks to it for long periods (I should say 'talks', as its not really words). when she first sees it like after nap or in the morning its like a grand reunion. I am going to have to take some pics and a movie.
