@ Darkhorse - Congrats on the boy!

@ Vi - Isn't it awesome to hear the heartbeat?!!

@ Chnst - I'm so sorry you are sick. I had pneumonia a few weeks ago and of course Declan and hubby got sick too, although not with pneumonia. For Declan, our pediatrician told us he felt infant Motrin worked better than tylenol. The humidifier didn't help much, but putting Declan in the bathroom and turning on the shower and getting it steamy seemed to offer him a little relief. I'm not sure why the humidifier didn't work and the steamy bathroom helped a little. Our pediatrician also recommended we have him sleep on an incline. He suggested in the car seat, so we varied between that and the bouncy chair. It did help Declan sleep a bit. He was miserable when flat on his back so we kept him upright at all times.

@ Kelly - The new pics of Zaid are adorable!!!

@ Vi - It might only be 6 more weeks for the "big" u/s and not 8 ... it really depends on your OB. I know a few women who go to the same practice that I do and they schedule for 18 weeks (when I had mine done).

This week marks a huge milestone. At the end of this week, the babies will have reached viability! Now the countdown truly begins to all of us staying healthy and keeping them in there as long as possible!

@autum: thanks for the tipps! hubby took him on a car ride from 3am-5am so i could get some rest and Ben fell asleep as long as he didn't stop at an intersection. He finally found a nice big traffic circle and drove around that until he ran out of gas.:star:

We're all doing better today, Ben still has a fever but he doesn't seem as congested. He screams as soon as I put him flat on his back to change his diaper.

How are you feeling? No more problems with your pneumonia? How's hubbys job hunt? I really hope things will get better for you guys!

@ks: aww the pumpkin pic is sooo cute!

eta: zaid is goin to be a duck for halloween

It has been so long ago from college all I remember is I had a good friend named Tim at the time from there.

Well it has been a while sense I have been on Jaylyn had a swollen eye and an ear infection so she has been on meds. I think it is the 7 animals at the sisters house but my husband doesn't think I am right. We will see this weekend she is better. I have 3 days off. She got her first two bottom teeth this weekend.

Carolyn- I am also a teacher. Do you have maybe a family member who could watch her one or two days so you guys could see each other at nights and be a family? They also have 3 day baby siting programs here in IL. So then you wouldn't have to pay for a whole week.

Kelly I love the new pics of Zaid with the pumpkins. So cute.

chnst. have you taken ben to the doc? screaming when laying on his back really sounds like an ear infection to me. we had this problem a few months ago...

We just had this problem this week. It was an ear infection. Is he grabbing his ears?

@ks, yes we took him to the pedi, but she said only 1 side looked "kind of dull" but not so much that it would require antibiotics. He doesn't grab his ears, and I see some improvement in him today.

I hope he's not getting an ear infection, but so far he got a little better.

Adam never cried when he had an ear infection. He only had a terrible fever and common cold symptoms. I think he had all those ear infections from me nursing him. Not because I was nursing but because of the way you hold them when you nurse. It's almost like putting baby to bed with a bottle and so his ears got infected. Also, every tooth came with an ear infection. Maybe Ben is teething..Adam started at five months with the lower two incisors...maybe that is it.

Hope he's feeling better soon.

Congratulations Judith!!

Kelly-I hope Zaid is feeling better! That pumpkin picture IS cute! lol

chnst-Awww, so sorry to hear about all of you dealing with sickness. Get well. (F)

Things are good here. Kavi is still healing up, it's not fully healed yet. The stitches are still there and one area is still red and needs more time. The only time Kavi had a fever so far was after his vacc shots at 4 months old, it was a little scary! He still hasn't gotten sick yet. I guess since he had to get surgery his body gave him a brake on that part so far. :P

I hope you all have a good day!!

Jax congratz to Jay getting new teeth!! Kaila still doesn't understand when she bites her fingers she has teeth their...

i have a question for you about Jay...does she have nasel congestion(with out being sick) that you need to use a cool mist humididfier? The ped. told me one time I was in there that because her nose is "flat" she will have a hard time with mucus...have you had this issue with her?? just wondering...Also how has things come with her and therapy? anything on that??

MOMMY2BE??? where are you at?? how is everything going?

Declan is drooling like crazy, sticking everything he can in his mouth and has been a bit cranky ... but no teeth yet.

I was at a meeting at his daycare last week and one of the other moms, when she found out I was Declan's mother, told me he was "ridiculously happy" ... I guess whenever she goes into the infant room, he is smiling away.

@ Chnst - Thanks for asking about things. Hubby got a temp. job through an unemployment agency, but the job is ending in a couple days I think. He has been working nights remodeling a grocery store. That experience of being home alone all night with the baby made me really respect single mothers. It is so nice to have someone else there to tag team when baby is cranky or sick. I am feeling better, still don't have a lot of energy though.
