@Vi: yes its normal that some people don't gain weight right away or even lose a few pounds. Don't worry, it'll go up before you know it.

@Chrissy: aww sorry about the sickness. Did you ever try those candies they sell at Babies R Us for morning sickness?

@autumn: we tried apples, carrots, bananas (bananas are his favorite).

He absolutely hates any cereals and he won't take anything from a bottle. He will gag and then throw up if I come anywhere near his mouth with a bottle even if it's breastmilk. That's his new thing (he used to take bottles without complaining)

I am so tired, had another almost sleepless night. Baby refuses to let me sleep on either side, his feet are reaching under my ribcage and he kicks with full force as soon as I lay down...or he sticks his butt and knees out to both sides and I have two weird bumps left and right and don't want to lay on that..lol

So yeah, he is doing fine and I am starting to go to my doc weekly now. Only 3 weeks to go- I hope!!!

Anyone here who is going to deliver before me or am I really next? (Never thought I would ever get to that point...)

@Nane: Oh boy, I hear you. Don't miss the pain of a full grown baby inside me kicking. I slept sitting up on the couch or recliner a couple of nights.

Adam didn't really like the swaddler either. He liked it the first week or so and then he wanted his arms out. Allie on the other hand needs the swaddling. I think she's real sensitive to getting touched and is overstimulated very fast.

Hi everyone. Kavi is doing good, still healing up but it's looking much better. He hardly has eaten baby food for the past week and a half, I think it's because of the antibiotics he was on. One side effect said metal taste in mouth. He stopped the meds last Sat so now the taste should be going away. Today he seems to be eating better and he had his first non vegetarian baby food-chicken and apples. He ate it up, it mostly tasted like applesauce. Yes I tasted it, I taste all his baby food . I want to know how what he eats tastes. He still isn't sleeping through the night. It'####### or miss! He hasn't slept through the night since his surgery, he wakes at 3:30 usually. Sometimes also at 1am. I hope he goes back to a better pattern.

Stina: Glad to see that Kavi is eating again. Poor little man. I'm sure his sleeping pattern will go back to normal. Adam has a period now where he wakes up at 3am and is wide awake. He woke me up with his ball this morning and I took him back to bed just to hear him hop right out of it again. I kinda lost it and got all firm with him, it made him cry but he stayed in bed after that and slept until 7am.

I swaddled Allie in a regular blanket now since the only swaddler that works is in the wash and I used one of my cloth diaper rubber thingies to keep the blanket up..she looks so cute and is in bed right now. I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Things are getting better.

@Nane: looks like you're next! I remember the kicking all too well, esp in the ribs! But trust me,as bizarre as it may sound to you right now- soon you'll miss being pregnant!

@Stina: I hope Kavi will keep recovering well, he's such a cutie!

really he hates cereals? have you tried mixing in a little juice? i know i'm a bad mommy i got kaila into eating cereal with pear juice...i have found a little juice goes a long way for helping her pooping....sorry tmi....

that is great you can swaddle her!! i wish Kaila would have let me....

we tried sweet peas today...she gave me the funniest look when she tasted it...like ya right i will not eat anything green...she has so many faces....just too cute....

Stina - Glad to hear Kavi is recovering well. How are you and Sujeet holding up?

We are doing good now. It was harder the first week, but now that it's healing well we feel relieved. Kavi is crawling all over and having fun so that helps a lot! I can't see the pictures of Declan, they aren't showing up for me.

Ok, now I see them all of the sudden!

Kavi has 6 teeth now, only 4 are really out but 2 more popped through last week and another is about to! He gets upset when they are about to come through.
