One more question? Our doctor told us to put a pillow under the sheet in Jaylyn's crib. Has anyone been told to do this. Its suppose to help her with support. I am just so worried when she rolls over. Has anybody tried this? Have a great weekend everyone.

i decided to take pictures of the positive test sticks, then when hubby got home i told him i had some pics to show him, i think he thought pics of Dylan....his face was a classic...shocked, smiling he kissed and hugged me. To be honest i think we are both in shock still, though its sinking in more. I think i'll make an appointment to confirm with the doctor the week after next. plus we are keepng it to ourselfs till we have been to the doctor

Congratulations!!

Did you take pictures of HIS FACE looking at the pictures??? I can imagine his expression, my hubby's expression when he found out I was pregnant was priceless.

no, what kind of support is he talking about? I wouldn't put anything under a sheet, esp not a pillow, since it is a suffocating hazard.

If a baby has an upper respiratory disease (pneumonia, bronchiolitis, bad cough, etc) I'd recommend sticking a blanket/towel under the matress to elevate Baby's back- that helps them breathe better.

I'm sorry she didnt feel well after her shots.

@Eveline: how are your kids feeling? are they better? is your house still there??

@autumn: yeah I love Ben's "jibberish" too! He's so much more alert and fun now!

I can't believe what happened in that daycare! That's crazy! hey you should move to NY- more jobs and daycares and I could use a buddy too! :P Plus- you'll be closer to grama!

@Nessa: yay little "Ben" is growing! how are you feeling? still tired?

@Chrissy: congrats! so happy for you! when are you due??

I just had the best "conversation" with Declan! He is babbling sooooo much nowadays and we just spent nearly an hour talking back and forth. It was precious!!!

Stina, I remember you once posted about how, as Kavi grows and develops, it becomes more and more fun. I definitely agree! Declan and I had a rough start with all the problems breastfeeding and then his surgery. Looking back, I was a ball of anxiety for the first 3 months of his life (the month AFTER the surgery was the worst, with me being super paranoid about his health). Now, even though I am a bit stressed about hubby's unemployment (yeah, no carpenter jobs in our area yet), I am sooo relaxed with Declan and truly enjoying him. It is amazing to hear him babble or to watch him play in his playgym. He is trying to pull himself to a sitting position from lying down (not successful but it is adorable to watch him try).

yeah its all uphill until they hit about oh, 4 or 5, then a slow decline from there on out. I have a 12 year old and wow. some days I have to really remind myself about the days when he was cute and sweet and WHEN HE STILL LIKED ME!

@chnst, tired, dragging myself out of bed. i cant wait for the first trimester to be over.

I'm in my 8th week and I feel exactly the same, I'm tired all the time, last week I went to the gym just once and Sil was so surprised, he knows how much I like the gym but I was so tired after work. I'm super emotional too, I want my mom, miss her so much.

I'm in the nausea stage, feel horrible, I want the first trimester to be over too.

Saludos

I will be 15 weeks on monday and started feeling even more tired about 2 weeks ago. So I really hope for you girls that you start feeling better soon! :)

Next friday we will find out what we are having IF the baby cooperates.

I think I felt the baby today! It felt like a little tap. Though it might be a little early because this is my first baby.

9 weeks and 1 day here. I went 3 time to the gym last week. I used to go 5 but now I just feel exhausted. I still wanna try to make an effort and exercise at least twice a week during the entire pregnancy. I think when i start getting big I'll start taking yoga classes, something lighter.

I hope u start feeling better soon.

Autumnchik-Yeah it does get more fun and now Kavi is getting around even better which is becoming scary! lol Everything seems dangerous!!

I was so tired all the time until maybe 20-24 weeks(don't remember exactly). Well I still always had afternoon sleepiness(but I rarely napped, I just am not a good napper) but I was surprised that I had more energy during the last half of my pregnancy than the first half.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

So we went to the doctor yesterday. Jaylyn is at 15 pounds and 26 inches. She is big now yippee. Height is now in the 90 percentile. She has been miserable after the shots and had to sleep on my shoulder last night. It stinks cause I am running a high fever. Hubby is watching her know but I can't stand to sleep in my bed all day or I won't go to bed at night. The doctor told us she has to go to physical therapy cause she is standing on her toes it is called hyper tone and she has to go for her tongue cause she keeps sticking it out. She wants us to press down on it with a spoon. Has anyone ever heard of this?

really she has to go to therapy because she stands on her toes? don't all babies do that at this age? Kaila at first was flat footed and then she started on her toes and when i was at the Dr. last she was on her toes and she never said anything about needing to go to therapy fo it...hhhmm i would really check into that!!! and i have never heard of the thing with the tounge either...maybe go for another opinion?

I am happy to her Jaylyn is getting bigger!! but sad to hear you aren't feeling well....hope you feel better!

Thanks all! You all should post newer pics of your kids if you haven't yet!

I don't know why, I am not a mean person hehe, but I didn't cry at the u/s or hearing the heartbeat. I was nervous and our u/s lady wasn't very friendly and it felt so dead quiet and almost awkward in the room. I was wow-ed and I thought I was going to cry, but at that moment I didn't feel like crying. I felt relieved. It's weird b/c while watching baby shows on TV I'd get teary when those people saw their first u/s and when their babies were born. I got tears watching many episodes of baby story on TLC, LOL. But when it came to me, I didn't cry. I didn't cry when he was born either even though I thought I definitely would. I also didn't cry at my wedding, which I thought I would too. LOL. I was overjoyed in all those situations but I didn't cry for some reason. But yet I cried for other people? I guess I just react different when I am the one in the situation.

--------

Kavi went to the specialist today to see about when to do the surgery. We decided to do it soon, so it's scheduled for Sept 25th, in about two weeks. The Dr went over the procedure with us and everything, he is doing the surgery. I felt like crying at the end of the appt, just b/c I don't want Kavi to go through it even though it's not a very big surgery. Still, he'll be under anesthesia and they will be cutting open the ####### and there will be stitches all up and down and also across the top area, and the first week he'll have a tube for pee to come out of into his diaper. I know this is not so uncommon so I can't be extremely worried, but I just feel bad for Kavi having to go through it.

i'm just like you...when i saw her and heard the heartbeat i was just happy everything was ok...i didn't get emotional like i thought i might just happy to see and hear everything was fine...and when she was born one tear came out...i was to tired to cry.....
