well yea, the lady who was 20$ a day, i now see why, she was the epitomy of white trash, no toys, play pens, nothing...and she had beer cans on her counter...so alas, my last visit was to a stay at home mom to a 1 yr old, and she is fantastic..had every toy imaginable...and only charges 7$ an hour..im going to have my uncle run her background this weekend...but, i can feel in my gut that this is a good thing...she wil only have him 3-4 hours a day so it wil be affordable...

I'm glad you found someone good, Kelly!

I have considered watching another baby or young child during the week but I wonder if I could handle it with a 7 month old already. Maybe I'm a wimp. :P I wouldn't mind doing it part time for extra money but I don't know.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

Girls

We just came back from our First Official visit to the doctor and it went really good. We had our first sonogram so we got to see the baby (is 4mm) and the heart beat, I almost cry!! :thumbs: . We have our next appointment in two weeks and I can't wait, I feel so much relief after this visit.

That's an awesome price, 20 bucks?? that's around what they charge you here for 1 hour, prices go from $15 to $20 . Good luck girl!

and girls wish me luck today is my first appointment with my gynecologist in the States.

I hope you have a very positive appointment and like your doctor. It's very helpful to have a good doctor.

I sent you a PM, but I must say again how excited I am for you! You were so supportive during my pregnancy and I hope I can do the same for you (L)

On another note, I have found great success with using Reglan to increase my milk supply. My baby will definitely have enough to sustain him solely until he begins eating cereal in a few weeks. I think he's going to LOVE eating solids...

Also, Drew is 5 months old today and is sleeping consistently 7-8 hours a night straight through, and about 10-11 hours total. He loves his crib and I have finally gotten used to leaving him in his room by himself. It was MUCH harder for me than for him ;)

well at least at that stage your little baby will actually resemble a little human. I had my first u/s at 6 weeks and it looked more like a pokemon/peanut kind of thing. :lol: It was a huge difference at the 12week checkup and that's when it really set in that we're going to have a baby.

@Tracy: wow 7-8hours? Ben used to wake up at 4am, but now we're back to waking up every 3-4 hours. No way he's going to be in his own room downstairs anytime soon. waaah I would pay ANY price for a full night sleep! :wacko:

Congratulations!!! :dance::dance::dance:

We told my parents the first thing as soon as it was confirmed (5 weeks) and I told them to not tell anyone till I was 10 weeks but had my sonogram at 8 weeks and everything was normal :D so they could not wait. My dad said he wanted to stand on the roof and shout out loud that he's going to be a grandpa :)

Daniel on the other hand, was telling strangers too as soon as we knew and right now is avidly reading 'What to expect when you are expecting' and giving me loads of advice :P

poor charles ....

nessa ... haven't reviewed the thread ... is your doctor bi/tri lingual ... spanish or portuguese? We were fortunate to locate one nearby .... it helped Isa relax more.
