I already know I'm going to really miss feeling my little boy squirming around inside me. It's been one of the greatest sensations I've ever known!

But I also get really excited just thinking about kissing his sweet little face, too :luv:

Yeah me too! And his feeties!

For me the best part of pregnancy has been feeling the baby move around inside. It's so special, and only you get to really feel it. Sure hubby and others can feel from the outside but it's not the same.

Its a cool feeling!! Wow a lot of you will be seeing your little ones arrive soon. All the best!

Well, I have been having contractions most of the night, but they are not regular yet. Been trying to rest and that is not working either. Going to do some cleaning and see if keeping my mind busy helps. They say that if its false labor, then activity helps them go away. We are going to test that theory now. Off to do some cleaning!

Just make sure you drink LOTS of fluids...I had a bad scare when I was 33 weeks (if you scroll up the pages I wrote about it), I started contracting regularly and they kept me overnight thinking it might be pre-term labour, instead my contractions were caused by dehydration. Thankfully a muscle relaxant and IVs fixed it and I didn't even dilate at all. Keep an eye on it and if it doesn't stop give your doc a call, better play safe than sorry at the stage you're at. ;)

:help: I have a question. I have to fly out of town on Sunday. I am wondering at 5 months and two weeks pregnant if I will I feel ok during the flight? Background-I have been very sick (throwing up at least 4 times a day). The throwing up has stop recently, but now I am unable to stand for longer than 5 minutes at a time or I feel faint. The last time I flew out was in early November.

Will I be fine?

I would ask your doctors nurse if you are not feeling well before you fly. I know most airlines will let you travel up to 36 weeks. All the best with your flight.

My next appt is not until the 22nd. I sort of have no choice but to fly out. I will just pray all will go well. Hopefully, everything will be fine; especially for the passenger sittine next to me.

I have been feeling less sick, but I still have that awful taste in my mouth. When will it end?

Oh i also have Group B Strep and want to make sure i can have the IV Antibiotics 4 hours before my waters break.

What is Group B Strep?

Man I thought morning sickness was a 1st trimester thing it has come back strong this week!!! Morning and night at least I got a little break. I am getting a headache I swear this is my first and last I feel most days. Then reading the doctors notes today that I am a high risk pregnacy scares me like crazy. I need to relax.

Yes some doctors are to slap happy with inducing.. In less than a week you will be meeting your little one how exciting!!!

Being high risk is very scary. I was high risk for a very long time. I had to visit my doc every week at first, then two weeks. Starting this month-monthly. I think I am out of the water.

How often do you visit your doctor? That is very important if you are high risk.

Group B strep

Group B streptococcus (GBS) is a type of bacterial infection that can be found in a pregnant woman’s ####### or rectum. This bacteria is normally found in the ####### and/or lower intestine of 15% to 40% of all healthy, adult women.

Those women who test positive for GBS are said to be colonized. A mother can pass GBS to her baby during delivery. GBS is responsible for affecting about 1 in every 2,000 babies in the United States. Not every baby who is born to a mother who tests positive for GBS will become ill.

Although GBS is rare in pregnant women, the outcome can be severe, and therefore physicians include testing as a routine part of prenatal care.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended routine screening for vaginal strep B for all pregnant women. This screening is performed between the 35th and 37th week of pregnancy (anytime other than this time will not be significant to show if a woman is carrying GBS during the time of her delivery).

The test involves a swab of both the ####### and the rectum. The sample is then taken to a lab where a culture is analyzed for any presence of GBS. Test results are usually available within 24 to 48 hours.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that all women who have risk factors PRIOR to being screened for GBS (for example, women who have preterm labor beginning prior to 37 completed weeks' gestation) are treated with IV antibiotics until their GBS status is established.

I am also getting excited about the baby. I can't believe the time is almost here.

He gets hiccups about 2 times per day, but I always feel bad for him when he gets them, hehe! It doesn't bother me, but it seems like it would be annoying for him. He so squished in there! I still love feeling him move around too. My stomach is getting even more big and hard, and I can usually tell where his butt is (above my belly button), it's funny. His movements are more like squirms now, not really kicks.

My next appt is Tuesday finally.

Marilyn-I would call the Dr's office and ask them, explain why you are wondering when to start the pills b/c Dr is away, etc. They might be able to give you more even if the Dr isn't there.

After giving birth I really missed not having a baby moving around in my tummy anymore. It's kind of weird but I really loved being pregnant. Would I do it again? NEVER! lol Well not now at least.

Marilyn-hope you feel much better.

I am quite the opposite. I hate being preggars and can not wait until our daughter is born. This has been a terrible pregnancy. :crying:

I like the second choice.

We will be going to Directbuy to purchase our baby set. We will save a bundle and her set will grow with her as she grows. Meaning-the crib changes into a twin bed.

Maybe an US is in order.

Everyday I have a very sharp pain in my stomach. I will tell my doc at our next appt. This does not seem normal to me. It is not like her normal movement.

You're very welcome! And thank you

Group B strep is a routine test these days so I am sure they will offer it to you when the times comes later on in your pregnacy. Hope your flight will be fine as I am sure it will....just don't let anxiety of getting sick get the best of you! About he bad taste in your mouth...it might just be you being pregnant therefore oversensitive to taste and smell...I know I frequently had that until the very end, although it got better when the nausea passed. I was very sick in the first trimester throwing up pretty much every single night (I would wake up kinda ok then it would get worse as the day would go on reaching its peak late evenings), it didn't stop right away for me it slowly faded in the 4th month and by the end of it I was perfectly fine. Good luck with everything!
